| I've been tired lately, sleeping alot. Been working out at the gym real hard and finishing up the Haggle System for TFN, as well as the new weapons, items, etc... I've fixed 2 issues with VV's quests and reworked a few things, oh ya and I fixed the failure thing with Bertram's Cathayan computer quest.
How you been? | |

| I've been working my ass off in my manga bookstore, it's quite hard because it's a new business so right now, kind of hard to get used to being the boss XD It snowed a little in Bordeaux, and I hate the cold ! I'm beginning a Shadowrun campaign Then, that's all What's new ? | |

| hey you two! Zero; sleeping in December is perfectly allowed, it's simply your body trying to hibernate like we should! As for TFN; I'm always glad to hear it is progressing, now that I am finally back from semester I can get going on playing it, I've only been waiting since I was giving a beta invite, so excited! ^_^ Claudia; being the boss can be hard I've run a few solo enterprises myself, thankfully I only had one or two underlings so it wasn't that taxing but fledgling businesses often require so much time and attention, good luck! Also I am just starting a Urban Arcana campaign funnily enough; character creation session is tonight I have no idea what to play Other than that I am mostly just adjusting to having free time which is so bizarre but I'll get used to it soon enough | |

| If I'm old enough to have played the original '3 booklets' version of D&D, that doesn't make me old, does it?
Wait a minute... I guess it does. Damnit!

| HAHA hell ya man, I grew up playing AD&D 2nd edition, you know the one with the Players Handbook cover of the guy riding the horse. It was the last version that didn't use skills and stuff, it still used the Thac0 system, not Attack values. | |

Wait a minute... I guess it does. Damnit! I've grown some white hair just from reading that Also, zero, i never seen the cover of AD&D PLayers handbook. and wtf is Thac0? I myself play 3D&T. It's a brazilian game, extremely fun and easy to learn. D&D is all like "Roll two dices to see if you can attack, then roll another dice for the attack and then roll another for the damage" and i'm like "wtf is this O.o" On a unrelated note, i got a big test tomorrow (which i will have a great grade on it, mark my words ) and after it i'm completly free till next year so i'll work on those lip files like a rabid dog.

| To Hit Armour Class 0
So if your THAC0 is 15 for example: If you're fighting a monster with 0AC you need to roll 15 If you're fighting a monster with -3AC you need to roll 18 if you're fighting a monster with 3AC you need to roll 12
Later editions moved to having BAB instead of THAC0 which was a positive modifier instead of a fixed number. So you rolled the die added your BAB and other modifiers and had to roll higher than the monsters AC instead of the AC modifying your attack roll

| Why? my memory on most rules is rusty on 2e and AD&D but I still play the Infinite Engine games so what's in that is still fresh enough. First played AD&D when I was eleven but it turned into an excuse for the guys to argue and play on gameboys Was in a 5 year 3.5 campaign from the age of thirteen and from 18 until 21 and a half had a minimum of three games per session spread between D&D 3.5 and OWoD | |

| Started playing D&D in 1977, when I was 16. That was my first gaming experience. We switched to AD&D as the new books came out, in the late 70's. Not sure I quite grasped the concept at first. I named my first character "Jim". When this drew laughter, I said it was short for "Jimon". But really "Jim" was just the first name that popped into my head. When I rolled a natural '18' for his strength, that shut them up. God that was a long time ago. | |

I rolled something similar once but I was allowed to keep him, Goblin Druid, I had three 17s, two 18s and one 5; which ended up being my Int score very fun character to play

| @ PGM: Not funny, man. I sometimes catch myself wondering what on earth I was going to do. Wasn't like that at all, say 10 years ago. Maybe because I didn't know what I was doing anyway Ah, be young again. @Philosopher: What are you doing in the company of us geezers, young one? | |
