Hacking still linked to WITS in version 1.4

Change of Hacking from INTELLIGENCE to WITS appears to be missing. (As listed in the 1.4 Manual) p6.

I can't see your problem here.
In the vanilla game, hacking is linked to Wits and computers. Previous versions of Camarilla Edition have changed this to Intelligence and computers.
I changed it back to Wits for CE 1.4 because research, the other feat linked to Intelligens is doubly usefull with the books and the college. For this reason I wanted Int to only affect research. Plus I think Wits is better:
The technical knowledge for hacking is handled by the computer skill, and for finding passwords intuition is essential as well.

I jut realised that today, I read an older posting on the mod and just didn't notice the change in.

In PNP version you generally can use either, although in Bloodlines, if it is WITS then you can use Auspex in the vanilla version of as hacking buff.

no problem there. Nobody expects you to read every topic before posting your question. Just don't be angry if somone sends a remark about RTFM or something along with the reply.
If you're new to the mod and the forum, it's a valid question for you, but the long time users have read it rather often, and might get a bit annooyd when it frequently turns up again. So let us have a little fun mocking the newbies. If you stay longer you will probably do the same

And for using auspex to help with hacking, you are right. You can do it with every computer in vanilla, and in CE on most computers except for your haven pc. I have set this computer up to cancel all running disciplines when you start using it. This was done to prevent boosting the research feat while using the college.
