| So you got it to work with the program that leaves the watermark? Can you "purchase" this program *wink wink somewhere on the internet and use it knowing that it does work, you just need it to work without the watermark? | |

| thanx for the tip...
btw way...i just realised that it only works when the file is substantially larger than the ones that dont work...that seems to be the defining difference....
for instance...the ones that dont work are about 400 kb.....the ones that do work are about 1.5 megabytes.....
go figure... | |

| So then... any way for us mindless plebeians with this error to fix it? O.o
I have very little comprehension as to what you guys did to make things unscrewy, but a 'For Dummies' version or something would make my life swell and awesome.

| or both... ill email you the vamp girl one if you want... 1. the program I used was image converter plus... 2. when you have image converter plus installed you will notice that when you right click on an image...you can see a preview of the image...directly above the preview is a "convert to" button... 3. go to "custom conversion"... save the image as a dds file... (i save it to the desktop so i can see the image right away)...you may notice a text file called "icp"...just delete it....it isnt necessary.... 4. now move that dds and the tth file from your tipinfoscreen folder into the same folder....use the VPK tools (in the tools folder)... go to the texture tab and click convert DDS to TTZ. 5. Move both the old .tth file and the new .ttz you just created into your materials\interface\tipinfoscreen folder. Rename both files background_default.xxx (keeping the same file extension). | Sorry to post here, but since this relates to my problem I assume it’s better then making a new topic. Let me start by saying I love this mod. I’ve only made it up to the clinic, but already I feel as if I’m playing a totally different game. It’s really great work. However, I seem to be having the same problem, the loading screens are a pixilated mess. I reinstalled the game and it’s still the same. I don’t really care about this though, while it’s not pretty to look at It’s not something I mind too much. My real problem is that as I play the game, weird things happen. For example, in the opening video most of the character models were all black, and my game kept stuttering during the prince’s speech and eventually went to the blue screen. I reinstalled, and next time was able to get through this part. The game stuttered once during the tutorial but was otherwise fine, except for the loading screen. Once I get to the clinic though, the game begins to act up. Icons show up but are completely black, and the character sheet, inventory screen and items in the environment begin to turn black too. The one time I made it out of the clinic, my blood bar went completely black and the entire main menu went dark. Then my game crashed to blue screen again. Now when I try to play the game it won’t start, gives me an error message that it’s “unable to set mode.” I need to reinstall again I figure, but I’m wondering if anyone can help me in resolving this problem? I’m really computer illiterate, but hopefully some of this information can help you: Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3000+, MMX, 3dnow, ~2.1GHz Memory: 1024 Ram Page file: 683 MB used, 4338Mb available. Direct X 9.0 It’s an XP. Pretty old, maybe 5 years? Is it simply too old to run the game? Vanilla ran fine (Though it should be noted I just reinstalled the game to run this mod, so I can’t be sure that it would have run fine this time. But I see no reason why I’d have had difficulty.) Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. And forgive me if it's something super obvious that I'm missing. Maybe it's the graphic card, but it did run the orginal game without difficulty, so, who knows. Edit: Well I reinstalled the game but it still won’t start, so I must have really screwed up something. In any event, I think I’m going to give up for awhile, though I might try installing it to a new folder or something, in hopes that will fix whatever's wrong. This looks like an amazing mod, and if I ever get a new computer I’ll be sure to try it out. As it is though I can’t even run the original game anymore, so I sadly won’t get to enjoy your mod for awhile. I guess the good news is that when I can try it, it will probably be an amazing version, LOL. | |

I guess the good news is that when I can try it, it will probably be an amazing version, LOL. Well I can't say your system specs are high or anything, but if I remember I was able to run Bloodlines on something similiar (back when I still had that computer). You didn't mention what video card you had but I'm assuming it's something comparable to the rest of the system. Systems specs I would say are "good enough" to at least play the game and CE "should" run ok on your system. Problem is I don't have a computer that old to really test out the logic timer which is the only thing that could possibly slow your game down. With what little information I have to go off, my recommendation would be to reinstall Windows XP Pro. If you are computer illiterate then you probably have about 2 years worth of temp internet files, cookies, and spyware on your machine including about 50 programs running in the background and you haven't run a disk degrag or a registry cleaner since the dawn before time. Of course I am just assuming this but most puter noob's sytems look this way. If thats the case only Solomon can tell you why Bloodlines is no longer running on your machine. In either case, I would format/reinstall Windows XP, get all of your drivers setup properly, install Bloodlines, then install CE. Hope this post helps and if you decide to go this route, I'll help where I can...
