Updated to Win 10 and I'm loving it so far. Cortana is quite amazing.

Should I expect any issues with Bloodlines?

Probably, but the fix is easy. Just copy vampire.exe from UP 9.4 over to your new directory.

I bought a new PC that came with Windows 10 already installed. Being the lazy bastard I am I figured I might just keep it, but an online search revealed that it's worse than I feared.

A few things Windows 10 does:
- it makes you part of a p2p network to distribute windows 10, which would be fine if it didn't mean that it steals your bandwith (to the point where at times I couldn't even access the internet)
- we already discussed all the wonderful spyware that's built into the bloody thing
- and it even comes with a keylogger

Fuck this bullshit, I'm switching to Linux.

So yeah, if anyone still has any doubts whether or not they should make use of the free upgrade, don't do it.

Edit: OK, I got over my anger a bit and to be fair, you can disable a lot of the information tracking and delete the keylogger. But all this still creates a fundamental mistrust. I mean how do I know that turning things off actually does anything?

Thank you for your reviews, gents. Now I know that I won't get close to Win10 even with a ten meter tentacle

If by accident you do so anyway, cut off the tentacle and burn it.

Microsoft will have made a copy, don't worry.

But start with Apple and all it's users. Do something for the human genome.
