| I can't get it to work have added the - console to properties in steam and it does open but it doesn't add anything to the game and in fact freezes the game up,any help appreciated. Oh running Win 7 btw | |

| Try adding -console to the desktop shortcut. C\...\vampire.exe -console in the target line. That space is important, so don't forget it. | |

| If your game freezes after leaving the console, the workaround is closing the console with the chareditor command. Then after you close the chareditor as well, the game continues as usual. - | |

| Thanks both there's no place to add the -console on the steam desk top short cut, I'll try Malk's method later | |

| You "propriety" the shortcut, and in the link in there, you add in " -console" with that space. For me too, when I use the consol command, the game freezes when I close the console. This is why I always PAUSE the game, THEN open the console, make the thingy.. THEN use the "ESCAPE" button on my keyboard which brings me back into the game | |

| Works fine for me on steam.
Open your Steam games list and right click on VtM:B. Click 'properties', then 'set launch options'. In the little text line that opens up in a new window, just type in '-console' (minus the quotes) and then OK.
Also, make sure you have the auto updater turned off. | |
