| is it possible to use the debug console like in the original? I tried doing the "- console 1" thing and it doesn't seem to work. i'm asking this because i'm stuck right at the end fight with the sheriff, and my blood pool is just too low to beat the dude, so i need a little help. thank you in advance | |

| It just has to be " -console". Add it one space after the ending quote with the directory.
I.e: "[drive-letter]:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console

| Yeah but that -console you have to add to the shortcut, not the .exe itself... | |

| Yes. It means it was done incorrectly. I'm sorry to be blunt, but in the seven years I've played the game, the console has never given me problems when I entered it correctly.
Right-click on your desktop icon, and choose 'Properties'. In the 'Target' line, after the end where it has \vampire.exe" you type a single space after the quotation mark, and then -console
Then in the game, you just press the tilde (~) key above the left tab, and the console window opens up. The console commands can be found on many sites that have walkthroughs, FAQs, etc.

| Again, i am necromancing this thread but if ell it is better than make a new one just for this thing:
when testing around what character type i want to build, i noticed that the giftxp 10 command would give me the serpentis discipline with any character...is this is a bug? can i get rid of this? not much of a problem as i am just testing around, but it makes testing a bit annoying as you get serpentis instead of the 10 xp
OKay, this is even worse: everytime i get 10 xp, i auto gain a point in serpentis and i loose my xp and cant put them into anything else
