Hey people,
I found an easy way to skip the boring "sheriff offs the three sabbat" cutscene, using a dialog option. It will be in the next release.

We also need that cut intro option, knowing by heart that monolog is giving me bad ideas...

I don't remember which, but once i downloaded one mod that had a "skip intro" box you could mark.
It is indeed really necessary. Sometimes i want to start a new char, but having to see the intro all over again, and do the Santa Monica quests all over again makes me give it up.

It seems that, having at least one save, or having saved the game previously(it doesn't matter where, it could even be at the beginning of the tutorial), allows you to skip the intro. This should be without mods or the patch, since I think I saw it before I installed the UP.

The skip intro option is in the character creator. All you need is an existing savefile and resolution > 800*600. In CE and the patches (starting in one of the 7.x versions, not sure which), there is an empty save file included. So you can even start your first game with a new version without having to hear the jesters monologue for the ???th time.

If you don't get the skip intro checkbox (it's located in the discipline description window) despite resolution >800*600 and having a saved game, it's probably due to Win7 creating the save files in another directory. Then create an empty file called Vampire-999.sav (you can use any text editor to do it), and save it to -bloodlines\vampire\save\ (create the \save subdirectory if it doesn't exist).

If you can't find it, despite having a savefile and enough screen resolution, check your config.cfg file for this line:

vchar_skip_intro "1"
