Where is the Malkavian?

Loved the final nights.. hated that the Malkavian was gone.. -.-
Is there any way to get back the original Malkavian to this game?
Saw that the "followers of set" should be as the malkavian but all the crazyness was gone (which really got me stuck with the malkavian-clan)..

Soo my question really is; how do I get it back to The final Nights without removing the game or destroying it ?

You install the game, then make copy of the bloodlines folder. Keep one copy "clean" and play with as many mods as you want on the remaining ones. Simple as that. There is an exhaustive explanation somewhere on the forum. Multiple installation typed into search should do the trick.

Feral, I think they were asking how to get Malkavians back into The Final Nights without removing or destroying it.

Answer: You can't. The game only allows 7 clans and a set number of disciplines. So to get Dementation and the Malkavian clan, you would need to remove 1 TFN clan and 1 targeted discipline.

And that is not possible simply by file-fiddling?

No, plus you would need to re-insert all of the Malkavian text manually in each dialogue file.

This is the real kicker.

Putting the malkavian clan back by itself would be no big deal, well, not a huge deal anyway. You'd make the changes in clandoc.txt and a couple other places.

The problem is that the Malkavian dialogue was removed from every character in the game. The only way to fix that would be to copy over all the old .dlg files, but they you've just blown away all the TFN specific dialogue...

I'm not going to say it's not possible, because I know it is and can see a way to do it, but the work required would be immense (as would the debugging afterwards to find every little typo that crept in).

Well you gotta take into consideration the disciplines too. Dementation was turned into Serpentis, so you HAVE to eliminate Serpentis to get Dementation back, which takes out the Setites, however you'd have to steal the Salubri models back from the Salubri clan, so now you've just ripped out 2 clans. You can't just swap Obeah for Dementation because Dementation is a targeted discipline while Obeah is passive...

Ahhh the headache involved... In other words, if you want to play as a Malk, go play CE, lol.

In all seriousness you'd probably have an easier time porting over your favorite "system" from TFN into CE and leaving the clans alone.
