Pull-toy has turned into a knife (think of the children!!!)

I don't know which unofficial patch introduced Gary's pull-toy, but I remember that it's supposed to be in the storage room in the back of the Red Spot store in Hollywood. It's not there anymore and there's just a knife in it's place (in the corner between a shelf and the crate of tin cans). I've kept the knife and tried using it on the mailbox (just like with the web-cam as a substitute for the library card) but it didn't work. At least I THINK that it's the same knife...

We needed the protean5_claws weapon for the new Animalism so we had to break the pulltoy item to do it. At the time I didn't realize the poster quest was showing up in CE, I thought it was a UP+ patch thing, but it somehow made its way into CE.

This is something that will be fixed in CE 1.3, for now just skip that quest.

Getting rid of Wesp's extra items/quests is just half the trouble. I've just found out that the only way to close the quest for Damsel's poster (vacuum tubes) is to get the quest for Imalia's poster (pull-toy). And then this quest stays open for the rest of the game.

Thank goodness someone else had noticed this, I seem
to get a lot of random bugs that aren't showing up on
anyone else...

I'll surely be glad when I can finish this quest, it's been
bugging me way too much. Also, I was wondering if it
would be possible to get some XP from the poster quest?
I mean it's fun on the first time when you have to hunt down
the objects, but when you're doing a rerun, it gets annoying
since there's no actual reward. And the only way to avoid the
quest is to leave Gary's e-mail unread (and we all know
how annoying unread e-mails are, since you can't delete
them without reading them first).

Similar problems, plus one:
- Pull toy in Red Spot becomes knife
- Library card in Empire Arms become web cam
- Throwing Star in Red Dragon becomes web cam

@juggernaut: I would like to believe that you had tried with the incorrect knife - I'll do another run to retry since I found out the web-cam/library cards wordks the same.

I do know is the the web-cams do not stack with those Imalia gives you, perhaps the knife does that too - but I can't verify now due to not having a proper safe game. I would like to believe that it should work (at the very least if you have no similar items in your inventory) since it's more a graphic thing(?) and not item obect label(?) - modders who look into the code should be clear on this.
