| Hi,
I've just installed the latest version of this mod but have a bug that makes it unplayable. I'm in the tutorial and can't fit the Sabbat vampire near the warehouse. Pressing the key to activate combat mode does nothing. Pressing F1 shows no weapon icons underneath. Strangely, there is no armour icon under F3 either.
I'm sure I manually deleted the files from my previous installation of VTMB, as I was using another mod at the time.
I'm running Windows XP. I installed the game again, used patch 1.2 then installed Camarilla mod 1.2.
I've done the following troubleshooting, which did not fix the problem: - changed graphics settings, including turning them right down, - installed the mod files to a temporary folder and manually copied them over the top.
HELP!
Cheers, Sword | |

| You do NOT need to patch before installed CE 1.2 as it already includes the patches you require. CE is an 'all in one' game modification with everything you need in the installer to play with. Try uninstalling - deleting the files manually afterwards to clear things up - reinstall the game - then install CE 1.2 without the patch first. Installing patches twice can always lead to interesting affects. Welcome to the wonderful world of software Hope it clears up if you follow that, if not will have to poke Zer0 lol | |

| Hi Sword, welcome to CE! That sounds like one of the random bugs that still infest the game and turn up sometimes. As you know the game, I'm sure you checked the keyboard-options if they are set correct and tried reloading. Have you tried creating a new character? If nothing of this helps, I fear you really have to do what 8people said, and reinstall the game. - | |

| Thank you, fellow vampires! I will try uninstalling and just installing CE 1.2. CE looks wonderful!
Yes, I checked keyboard mappings and tried making a new character. Didn't help sadly. Computer software, hey? Pffft! ;-)

| Reinstalling and not applying the offical 1.2 patch before installing CE has fixed the problem. Thanks!
Fantastic mod. So much fun. I have two masquerade violations already and a vampire hunter with a torch is standing around the garbage bins outside the Asylum waiting for my character. Superb!

| Yes two violations is good to get the attention of that nice lady with the torch And it's really easy to get this level, even without killing people, if you don't waste xp on seduction, but refill your bloodpool hunting in the streets. I think my next character will redecorate the haven kind of goth style, with torches in every corner of the room - | |

| I got two humanity points left in my Gangrel xD Does the game end if we reach zero like in Redemption? (I think I got so low because I had three points left by killing and lose one more when took a quest during dialogue) | |

| Don't know about humanity right now. I'll let you know when I find an answer to this question. Didn't know we had such a lot of coldblooded killers around here Just keep in mind, not to commit 5 masquerad violations in a row; that gets you the final Death - | |

| I once died because of that LOL
Would take out this game objective, but would be nice a console command that removes masquerade violation, too bad it doesn't exist =p I enjoy wiping the city freely at Redemption xD

| I thought maybe she would go away in time... oh no, that's not how it works at all I found out. I sold my baseball bat and tire iron for some cash at Trip's, thinking I could go back to the beach house to get the ones left there. Imagine my surprise when that area was closed off! I've got no weapons now. I don't want to pay that outrageous price for a knife at Trip's. I'm really lucky that I built this character with Brawl 3 at the start. This is a new gameplay experience, having a dilemma like this. So when I went back to Santa Monica and reloaded that area, I thought maybe the hunters would go away. But no, my darling was still waiting for me in a different alley this time. So I has to sneak around using another route. It's been a while since I last played VTMB but it's harder to pick locks I think. Actually, Blood Buff is weaker and that's the reason, isn't it? I got the quest for the Asian "vampire" but without a knife I'm sweating about that fight. I can't pick the lock in the hospital to get Mercurio some morphine and my character has almost no Sneak skill so it's risky sneaking around the top level. The guard catches me no less than four times. But he only warns me! What a great touch by this mod. It's more immersive. The guard does what a real life one would do and warn me off before pulling his gun. So I do the Gimble quest as I need the XP to get some lockpick. Then the Lily quest. But my darling finally catches me when I walk out of Kilpatrick's! I manage to go around a side street and hide and lose her. But she catches me again later and this time I run everywhere, turn a corner and hide, but she still comes around the corner and spots me. So I have to fight. My character has done alright in fights so far, so I think "how bad can it be"? Bam! The flaming hits me a few times and my life is really low. I get her in a blood drinking grip but decide not to drain her dry being a "caring and sharing" Toreador and leave her there. But she wakes up and chases me a moment later. So sadly, I have to kill this hunter. Then I eventually get Lockpick 3 and with Blood Buff can pick the level 4 locked door in the hospital that lets me eventually get Mercurio's morphine. Still no weapons though and still haven't fought the "Asian vampire". This mod is absolutely fantastic. The skills like seduction are way more important now and the powers feel better balanced too. It's a more immersive experience and the game is fresh again. A fun, imaginative passtime; thank you! Cheers, Sword | |

| Yeah, the area gets closed off because it gets investigated - If you turn on the TV they report the murders there. A quick and easy tire iron is if you follow the Thin-Bloods quest - there is one in the boot of the car you check out | |

First thing that gets to my mind is making an option in the Heather dialogue like "Redeem me" or "give me humanity" Or you could change the python files, so you get your masqerade level / humanity set to a certain minimum everytime you enter a new hub. If I really set my mind to evil things like that, I could probably come up with more ideas Ask me if you think it's necessary (but not publicly, I have to keep my cred as a nice, harmless madman ) @sword: If you really want the knife, go to the ocean house (you don't need to fight there.) After you return, Jeanette will give you one for slashterpiece. (If your little Toreador can stomac cutting pictures ) -

| What about e-mail quests? If the Prince or Nines likes you they could offer say, five opportunities each to teak out someone troublesome, or do a small collection quest just to get a bit up.
Also you could remove the limit on the dancefloors. Each dancefloor allows you to restore one point of humanity if you dance for around 3-5 minutes. Only works once per club.
Also while I think on it - The dancefloor in Confessions - can it's trigger point be moved? It's on a corner of a cross but the way everyone responds it looks like it should be in the centre of the cross.

That's right. Zer0 put in a few of these little toys for nice children to get us keep our eyes open. This one in particular is a vavorite of mine; it doesn't do a lot of damage, but it's fast and accurate. Only problem is , after you have used up the magazine, you don't get new ammo for it until you get Downtown. @ sword: I forgot, you don't need the knife, if you go to the Ocean House. Just grab the fire axe hidden there. Of course you could only use it if you were Malkavian as it states in the description: "A tool for a madman, who else would attack fire with an axe?" - SwordOfJustice wrote:

LMAO Perhaps because anyone else isn't a Toreador - 8people wrote:

It's on a corner of a cross but the way everyone responds it looks like it should be in the centre of the cross. Creating an email quest is no trouble. And the reward could be anything: an item, money, xp, stats changed... For the dancefloor-limit, That depends where it's coded. I have only recently heard about the opportunity, so I didn't look it up yet. The dance spot in confession was removed from the center to an edge of the cross by Wesp, becaus at least for some models there is a graphics-problem on the cross itself. - Herbst wrote:

| I'm dying to know where that is now. Don't you know that Toreadors are as curious as cats? Can you give me a hint? I've played past that and am now in Downtown, but my character has to go back to Santa Monica anyway. So hints please! Muddy... out of the way... anything else? Cheers, Sword | |

| I know. Curiosity is what killed the cat, remember that. That gun is in a dark corner near one of the places you check out often, if you hunt for your blood instead of drinking from blooddolls - | |
