Since others insist on continuing to bring up the bible, I will say this: my stance on that particular subject is in no small way similar to Jack's stance on the Ankaran Sarcophagus. Meaning it's a load of crap and we should blow it up, along with everyone who wants to buy into it.
The difference is that Jack has looked into it, and taken the original content out. So he is sure it's not what many kindred believe it is...

Hmmm... I meant more in attitude, but you have a point. However, it still applies considering I have studied the bible and found all the bullshit that completely invalidates anything based upon it, so yeah...

As for the condemnation of kiling, there are enough examples in the bible, where god not only supports the killing, but actually does it himself. Just take the flight from Egypt, where god "hardens the heart" of pharao, so that the army follows the israelites, and god can have fun drowning them all in the red sea...

It's not so simple. Only to read the pages of Bible is NOT enough - you should KNOW its historical, social and other backgrounds too for understanding Bible's code. Bible has been written in languages of those Ancient ages' men with many unknown symbols, but modern people doesn't understand those Ancient signs.

This require Classical education. Quite rare commodity nowadays.

It's gone through so many versions and translations that what we see as the Bible now is probably nothing close to the original and that's not counting the bits that people left out.

We still have surviving manuscripts from Mt. St. Catherine... And they are II-III century AD... Hebrev/Arameic originals... Not to mention Qumran. As for coping the Bible, for centuries it has been kept in Hebrev/Arameic/Greek/Latin, and only the last was translation. Want to know? Learn Hebrev/Aramic...etc. As for exactnes of copies, Rabbis doing it have been found to be better that DNA Polymerase. So we mutate faster than the script, in another words. How? simple: they copy a letter, check, coppy another letter, check, copy... Not a work for me, for sure.

Not so rare, my friend. In a Department or a Facult of Theology you may learn enough for understanding.

Most of early Christian writings doesn't originated from Hebrew (in that time, Hebrew already was a dead language in Palestine) or Aramic language, but Greek, Armenian, Syrian and Latin scriptures. Ancient canonic Hebrew scriptures went on many changes and after the Hellenistic period Hebrew texts were NOT punctated. Additionally, in the ages of early Christendom, there was NOT a valid canon of the sacred Jewish scriptures. Long after and before the validation of Jewish canon in Jamnia, Hebrew scriptures went on many recensions (Aquila, Hexapla of Origen etc.). A part of the Tanakh remained untouched - Samaritans refused all of the recent Jewish traditions, except Torah, so they kept the Torah in its original state without accepting any other parts of the Jewish canon. In the Middle Ages, Hebrew scriptures has been recensed by Rabbis. From this time, Babylonian and Tiberian punctation has totally changed the Bible, so the Veritas Hebraica is NOT a correct theory.

I'd rather trust a Ravnos not to steal my wallet than a Ventrue to tell the truth...
