Random Passwords, why?! T_T

Well, as the title already says, I don't enjoy the random passwords thing cus sometimes it actually makes u have a high level on hacking to do hacking quests instead of just googleing the passwords, I know it is the right thing and googleing them is cheating but, it's a pain in the ass lvling hacking just for this... is there any way to see how are these passwords in ur current save file, or CE just change some passwords to another password instead of a random one?

how and why u guys came up with this idea? :/

Turns out I just found the files containing the scripts for hacking, computers and stuff, and they'r really random... but... if I don't want it to be random, can I just delete the random commands lines?

lmao... it worked (I don't know how to write codes and stuff, I just know how to mess around) the only problem is that there were 3 lines for "net security" and 2 lines for "safe" (I was inside Metalhead fpr Mitnik's quest) It worked perfectly ;p

I think something bad happened, instead of finding a CD-ROM inside the safe, I found vacuum tubes, is this normal?

This thread basically has 2 parts. Let's see if I can summarize the logic used.

1) "I like your mod, but I don't like this part of the mod. How can I change just that one little part?"
Two choices:
- Endure the part you dislike and enjoy the rest. (Like most of us.)
- Learn how to mod, and change just that part. (Wish I had that kind of free time.)

2) "Gee I changed something and now the game works differently/doesn't work at all."
Wow, who could foresee that happening?

My recommendation: Write your suggestion in the "Post Your Ideas" section, and see if anyone else agrees with your suggestion. (That's what it's for - in fact, that's how the random passwords came about.) If Childe of Malkav likes the idea, maybe the next release will have that feature. That way you won't have to worry about bugs caused by changing things without knowing what you're doing.

"But PGM, that takes too long! I want the modder to change the game just for me, right now!"
Then you're Childe's problem. Good luck with that.

Edit. Oh, I almost forgot: Don't cheat!

In CE metalhead never had a cd. If you get your info by googling, see that you get the right mod, and don't annoy the developers.

I know wt happened... the random password are not really random, there are pre-defined random passwords in the file, therefore, there are other lines containing the net security and safe things, so I deleted the random thing and this made them all appear in the computer, but that was no problem since the password was the original one for all of them, I restored to default with a backup file, cheated some exp points to get enough hacking and again I found vacuum tubes inside the safe, so there's nothing to do with the hacking thing... but nevermind... I ended the game a while ago, CE is awesome, this random password thing is awesome too, but I think I was just in rush to end the game xD
