Yeah, and misguided fools. Some well-meaning idiot took my glasses that I left on a table last night for a few minutes to watch the fireworks, and now I have to postpone going home to tomorrow because I can't see shit.
Valuable life lesson for everybody who doesn't have spectacles: Never touch other people's glasses. Put them out of harm's way if absolutely necessary, but don't remove them and especially don't just take them with you, either. I rely on my damn glasses to get me through the day without painful headaches, and even though the idiot who took my pair yesterday meant well, I want to punch him in the face. I was just glad they weren't stolen as a prank or damaged and swiped away as to avoid blame (glasses can be really expensive, so best stay away from them completely if you can't afford to pay 300-400 € or more).

Well, we spent an hour after the fireworks searching everywhere they could have been taken, but since they weren't placed somewhere in the house but rather someone apparently grabbed them and took them with him/her, we couldn't find them. We asked around, but at that time, nobody knew anything about my spectacles.
Worst way to start a new year, lemme tell you. <.<
I just got them back, after much craze and reproach, and they were terribly dirty to boot. (Another life lesson: Don't touch glasses on the glass, duh, touch them at the frame or the ear pieces. You wouldn't like your vision smudged with finger prints either, now, would you?)
Maybe I'm being overly dramatic, but I felt like I was a cripple and someone had just taken away my walking cane. I was useless for the entire day, and had I not got my spectacles back, it would have taken up to a week, at least, to have new ones made. Most people just don't take you seriously if you 'only' have a sight deficit.   

So who took em?   

I was at a friend's for new year, and his little teenage brother was apparently allowed to invite around 40 people to celebrate without any supervision at all (parents and grandparents were not at home). They stayed outdoors, we stayed indoors, and only one of his 40 guests could have taken my glasses. I don't know who exactly it was, but that's probably for the best.

Ohh, I hope you washed, disinfected and washed it again for good measure :-p

I mean, if someone takes my glasses, I crawl in a ball and do not move until someone gives them back. This morning I had a hard time finding them (it usually leave them on my totoro plushie but Lyle made the plush roll around), and I had to wake him so he'd find them for me Oo
(I can't stand up without my glasses, unless it's very bright outside and I know perfectly where everything are...)
Some people don't understand that if people wear glasses, it's really a need <_<

I didn't desinfect my glasses once I got them back, but I polished for probably 10 minutes because there were fatty fingerprints all over them. EW! This is so disgusting. At least I could get them back without a lot of scratches on them.
While I can see without my glasses, and read and watch TV and stuff, it starts to get painful after a few minutes. My eyes are still swollen today because I couldn't wear them for a few hours. (Plus I don't leave my sleepiness mode until I put them on, so I was tired all day and just lay on the couch being lazy. )
And I also didn't get to do any scolding, because my friend (the one I was invited to, not his brother) brought them back in person instead of me going to fetch them, so I never found out who took them. I was so happy to have them back at that time, I didn't care either.
