Second cataract surgery is done! Right eye this time.

Patch came off today. This one is a lot more bloodshot (really bad... I look like a Kindred who's been crying), and there's a little swelling so the vision is not quite as good as the left eye. But the doctor says that should improve; and in fact it already has slightly.

Not exactly lulz, but good news for me.

Androgyny doesn't attract me either.

Appearance is one stat that should be obvious from the start, unless you're disguising it or something.  Duncan has App 2 (average).  Until I increase it, which would mean he's starting to use hair gel or something.  LOL  He does take the trouble to dress decently though, which would make that feasible.

I grew up in New Mexico (state west of Texas), and the majority of people are Hispanic or Anglo.  So my idea of beauty is either white women or Latina women.  I also find eastern European women attractive-- although I'm talking about the hotties in the James Bond films, not the East German women's weightlifting team.

I tend to use Appearance as "how well they could be a model for their body-type and their race in fashion magazines", while Charisma acts upon interaction and "presence" ; you can be fugly and be lovable to be around (The Joker is a great example).
Appearance makes it so that if on the street you may be approached far more easily, they have this more positive a-priori, they begin with "the benefit of the doubt towards their favor", and kindred have a hard time changing their point of view (or admitting they're wrong).

We have here in Brazil people named Claudia. We just verbalize as it is written, instead of those weird frenchy rules of pronunciation. During my time in Switzerland, it blew my mind how french has a 8 letter word "beaucoup" but it's pronounced "bocu". Simplify, people!
