This is insane... No pun intended. It may make a degree a worthless piece of paper in less than a few decades...

First is really decent.
The second one is stuff I mostly knew already, but nicely put together. it is slightly depressing that so much work and cost could lead to virtually nothing in science. Well, I got my PhD after my fifth research project for a reason: first four turned out to produce negative correlations or insurmountable technical problems...

It means what I supposed to cause the observed effects had nothing to do with them and I prove it. You can't get PhD on that , as finding a positive correlation is required, as well as nobody wants to publish such research... Bad...

I said clever, not honest, or creative... it is an ugly shortcut and a cheat to hire help when you could not elicit a genuine reaction. I am sure it was good for his income, though.
