I'm white as Ivory, enough to be called Eminem, Michael Scofield, and other white bald celebrities.
My father has some italian ascendents, and my grandmother or grandfather (both maybe) are from Portugal.

I don't think Brazil is very racist but that's based on my experiences, and that alone doesn't tell much. Some people joke about me being white as paper sheet, or something about "brancos iguais". It doesn't bother (much).
But looking at the whole picture, I'd say it's VERY racist.

He is saying he hasn't seen it personally but he believes it exists.
So basically he has faith that there is a lot of racism in Brazil even though he has never seen it. Kinda like a religion, really.

The idea of white priviledge / systemic racism is insane and stupid even on countries like the USA which I will grant you is more racist than Brazil.

That would do too. Sacred Band was a later thing, though.

Sparta was a big jock frat boy party with syssytia (communal eating and sleeping), group exercise and all boys 7-18 year old running naked year round. Theoretically to toughen them up, but I have my suspicions... Also they lived, ate, slept and trained together. No girls until marriage, with Spartans marrying relatively late as for Hellens. One of the reasons their citizen population shrank.

All of Ancient Greece is guilty of that fact, actually. The sacred band of Thebes was the only elite group of warriors whose homossexuality had any effect on their organization.

I remember reading Plato's dialogues and being shocked at how openly and shamelessly those in dialogues would speak about "loving boys" or "having a boy lover", almost as if it was an expected part of life like owning a house or a car. In one dialogue Plato even scoffs those that said that loving boys is morally wrong, meaning this type of people would have to have existed in Ancient Greece. In the Dialogue of Love (Symposium) pretty much all except one of the characters speak in the terms of love as love between a man and another man.

A good book about the topic of homossexuality in ancient human tribes is "The Way of Man" by Jack Donovan. He explains that since men are the only gender that works "in the frontier" wether that be hunting, raiding or war, the human male judges other males on how helpful or how useful he would be to the rest of the frontier group. And in this case, effiminacy (not necessarily homossexuality) would be considered a major weakness capable of putting everyone at risk. I definetly recommend the book, it isn't that long and it's easy to read. You might even find it in pdf on the interwebz.

Don't know if my friend was trolling or not, but in academy the teacher would request some sort of payment for the lessons he's giving (which is fair, to ask for something back), and having anal sex with the males was ok - actually it was the norm or something.

Not quite... Anal sex was a thing to do with slaves. It was shameful for a free male to be penetrated. Intercrural sex was a different story.

It seems somewhat unfair to me to blame the players for derailing the campaign when it's the DM who put a one way teleporter to the moon on a random encounter table.

This is long, but worth it.
