| why you cant create a new game, which will include all the kinds of clans(kuei-jin,camarilla,sabbat.)not to make new patches. Is there any thought of making a new game shortly? | |

| Would you like to finance the endeavour? Mods are limited by the resources of the engine, the time the modders have and other constraints such as what version of a programming language is utilised and how much is open to editing - a lot of things are hard-coded and as a result near impossible to access and alter. | |

Well, this is the "Post your ideas" forum. Given a magic wand, I'd like to see: Clan specific havens: Toreador in the apartment below Tawni's apartment, Malkavian in the Asylum, Ventrue in the Empire Suites, Brujah in the building next to the Last Round (Gangrel would have to stay in the Skyline). Blood Dolls in the Empire Suites ballroom and lounge, as well as a danceable floor in the ballroom. Greater Humanity loss for offing Milton and Patty and for sending the gullible Thin-blood on his suicide mission. And some Humanity loss for stealing Hanna's money and telling Issac the truth about the Gargoyle if you've told Strauss you'd be discreet. Edit: Humanity loss for accepting the Odious Chalice. None of the Glaze patrons run away if you manage to do Glaze without a single shot being fired (other than Johnny's cut-scene shot). Am I willing to finance these endeavors? To the tune of low double-digit dollars, yes. Do I realize that many of them are technically impossible? Yes. Do I realize others are so resource-intensive as to be pretty much impossible? Yes. Does that mean I can't respectfully suggest? No. - Zer0Morph wrote:

| Considering that response was to someone suggesting making a new game instead of working on the patches/mods Of what you posted, the only one I think is impossible is the Glaze issue. As there would be about three variations of how to get around it, and they're blocked by engine limitations. | |

| Personally I don't like the idea of even more clan specific havens. Especially the way you describe it. Hollywood means Isaak's territory = anarch. The same goes for the building next to the Last Round. And if Jeanette survives, Santa Monica would also be anarch territory. Else it's Camarilla. So your suggestion would mean, you define your loyalities by selecting your clan. And why should Ventrue go to the Empire hotel? There is a lot of space in the tower. (If you have your magic wand and don't need to concern yourself with nonexisting maps. There also is no map for the other buildings you mention.) More interaction in the Empire hotel would be nice, but ...well the problems of new dialogue have been discussed more than once. I don't see the need for greater humanity loss, but perhaps humanity loss for the other things you mention, if your current humanity is high. In fact I have put a humanity loss for stealing Hannah's money into 1.4, if your current humanity is 7+. For betraying Strauss, I'd suggest 8+ or 9+, The odius chalice 6+. Suggestions? (Technically this is all very easy.) For Glaze, I have neither opinion, nor any idea how difficult that would be to do. - | |

Aw, man, we need more dialogue about dialogue! - Quote :

All that is just what I would do if I were GMing VtMBCE as a PnP scenario. You are, in essence, the GM of CE, so I play by your rules. Just don't shoot down my dreams!

| A lot of people complain about having too much money. If new areas become an option for Havens perhaps have them paid for. Generally kindred aren't in the nature of giving haven for nothing. Would be fun if you could wind up LaCroix enough for him to even evict you, would mean crispy vamp if you couldn't afford a haven by the next break in storyline though. (Unless there was a variable for major NPCs that could house you as a 'favour' rating on how much they like you. Agreeing to shelter you for the coming daylight hours is one thing, providing haven is another. So... say you had a rating of 5 with Jeanette/Therese, and a 4 with VV, first night you are havenless - stay with the sisters, their rating is reset to 0. At the next story break you wake up in Asylum, not necessarily requiring dialogue. Second night if still homeless, wake up in VVs private room, reducing her favour with you.)
Perhaps make it a Heather thing, you can ask her to change her clothes, why not ask her to look for houses while you rest? All depending on what you can afford and if there is space available to create a suitable Haven environment in the game.
As for the dialogue, I understand someone is undertaking the lip synching, does this leave the problems purely verbal now?

| For new havens, there are some places I could think of. (But something as big as this won't make it into 1.4) First there is the free apartment in Santa Monica. But that's not better than your first haven. Then, if you have cleared them up and can afford it, you could rent Jezebel's room, or even Boris' suite at the Empire hotel. Yet another thing I've been thinking about for quite some time is moving Tawni into the free Skyline apartment. This would allow really good hackers to use the security cameras there to do the Imalia quest without actually going in. Of course only after you finished the Mitnik quest. And it would leave her Hollywood apartment open for you to rent. However I'm not sure about the mailbox. A haven pc is no problem. If you can't afford that, you'd have to creep in somewhere (The tattoo parlor, gimble's, a room in the abandonned hospital, whatever. But every single option is a hell of map editing, at least if you want to be able to have Heather along. This would call for a new version of CE dedicated only to this one goal. About the lip sync. As far as I understand it, Zer0 has found someone to do it for TFN, but it still seems to be a real pain in the ass to do it. And another problem is, you need the right models. Only NPC models with dialogue have any lip animations available. I tried to replace Danielle, the girl in the Asylum you can use as your second blood doll or send to Vandal, with some other model and the lip sync was gone. - | |

| I'm kind've interested in these haven ideas for TFN, I may keep them in mind.
As far as the lip files, I was primarily doing them for about a month, TFN now has a guy dedicated to doing them though he's been busy lately (that seems to happen alot), so it's kind've in the wind at the moment. When I knock out the total reskinning for TFN and the lip files aren't done, I'll get back on tha too. lol

- Those are great ideas. Even if they are too much work to ever implement, it's still great to talk about them. And dream about them.
