| WOW! I'm REALLY excited to show off this new set that was finished last night. A few months ago I saw a guy named Aqui post some awesome reskins on Planet Vampire and I was so impressed that I asked him if he would like to join TFN's skinning team. He agreed and over the past few months has been working on the set of Ishtarri skins. He did an absolutely amazing job! The detail is crisp, the shading is spot on, he did some very fine work. He mailed me the last texture packs tonight so I went through them and made some slight changes including lightening her skin and adding glamorous makeup. The biggest change was the time I spent in Blender for the model. I remembered someone here on the TCI forums (I think it was Claudia or VV) mentioned that the hair of the female models were WAY too short, it made the chicks look like lesbos. I told her that if I could make the hair longer I would... and so I did. If you remember the vanilla model, she has short, chopped up hair in the back that is barely below her ears. Also the 2 strands of hair that hang down from her bangs are pretty short too, so I lengthened all of it. Now her hair goes all the way to her neck and I doubled the length of the bangs. I hope you guys like how it turned out, I sure do! First closeup, as you can see the Ishtarri enjoy flaunting their makeup. A side closeup, here you can really see where I doubled the length of all of the hair. Tier 1: Man this Ishtarri chick is sexy as hell. I love how Aqui added the subtle jewelry on her waist, hands, and neck. Tier 1: When I lightened her skin I screwed up the shading on her boobs. I had to go back and fix it, and I'd say it looks pretty good now. Tier 1: Here you can really see the length of her hair. If you remember how short it was in the back. Tier 2: I love this outfit, just love it! Aqui put little black scratches at the bottom of her shirt in the same pattern as the Ishtarri clan logo. Brilliant! Tier 2: Another good shot of the Tier 2 skin. Tier 3: This is the skin that Aqui posted on Planet Vampire, I just had to have it in TFN. Tier 3: I had to lengthen the hair for each model, meaning I had to replicate my work 4 times. Took about 3 hours to do it right, meh. Tier 4: Hands down the best skin in the set, I absolutely love the retro patten Aqui used. Tier 4: I know it's hard to tell in these pics, but the amount of detail Aqui put into these skins is outrageous. They almost look like their in HD in the game. A shot of her hair in Blender. I must say I learned ALOT about Blender tonight doing this, kind've makes me want to start manipulating more models like this. Wonder if our Assamite friend would like some extensions in his hair too, lol. Hope you guys enjoyed this demonstration! Can't wait to release TFN already! | |

| You weren't messing with tier 1 mesh, were you, Zer0? Her assets seem to have "augmented" a notch | |

| Great models, making the hair longer was a brilliant idea too. But wouldn't adding that much detail slow the game down? Well, even if, its definitely worth it. | |

| I don't think, adding a lot of detail in the skins would do much harm to game speed. The .ttz format used by the game is a heavily compressed graphics format, so fine details wouldn't make for much larger files to load. - | |

The tier 1 reminds me of carnival clothes, lol Actually Aqui sent this to me and said he didn't really think he did a good job on it. I disagree, I think he did an amazing job and he used the colors of the African flag along with lots of over the top jewelry. I think he did a great job bringing out the "emotion" that all Ishtarri possess. - aqui wrote:

If you mean her boobs, actually no I didn't touch them in Blender, all I did was lengthen the hair a bit. I may be because of the additional shading work I did or the fact the I made her skin lighter and more pale that seems to make her boobs look bigger. - Feral wrote:

Actually no, or at least it doesn't seem too. The size of these .ttz/.tth files are around 100-250KB which is very small. I know Aqui added some background normal_mapping to at least two of these Tiers but even then I doesn't seem to effect game play what so ever. I'm glad you guys like this set, I'm a huge fan myself! Aqui, do you plan on doing the male set as well? I'm sure the community would be honored to see more of your work.

| Tier 4 Oh my gosh I simply LOVE this coat. It looks really, really great on her, especially with the blond(-ish) hair. Besides, I agree that the length really does a lot for the model. Dammit, I envy her for this clothes. I can't wait to hijack the coat and put it on my Torrie in CE. (Even if that's off limits, please please please don't tell me. A girl can dream, right? ) Amazing. Simply amazing. | |

| You can steal it from TFN for your own personal CE purposes, I don't have a problem with that. You will want to copy the both the textures and models though, not just the textures. The models are no longer vanilla because of the lengthened hair. If you need a step by step on how to do it I can provide that once TFN is released. | |

| I'm not sure if I'll need a step by step (I'm a fan of trial and error - that path can provide more insight earned as a side effect along the road, and insight never hurts) but I think this tutorial would have a good place in the 'Skins Gallery' subfolder. Maybe there are more players who want to mess around with the skins in TFN or CE a bit or who don't even know that it's possible. If you have or want to take the time to write one, of course. That's the question. (And for you to decide, Zer0.) | |

I do like the 2nd tier Toreador clothing, though (my favorite clothing set in the entire game). But I agree the longer hair looks much better than the original Toreador. And not because the Toreador looks "dyke-ish," just because the longer hair looks nicer.

| Damn...just Damn...no words, except the first two! Just simply fantastic work Z, that has been done by the 2 of you on this. I NEVER liked the Toreador chick, thought she was kind of ugly, and even though the Brujah gal model overall was kind of decent, the really SHORT hair, kind of made her look like she was either lesbian or had just come out of boot camp. I completely agree that most of the hair ( except Malkavian and Tremere both decent ) on the Bloodlines models was WAY too short and in most cases unoriginal. It's almost like Troika worked very heavily on the story line aspects ( good job ), and then just threw the models together kind of haphazardly in the last few weeks / days just to get the game out the door. Wouldn't it be just nice overall to have 10-15 more unique character models for the NPC's walking around the game as well I know that would be a pretty hefty task, if even possible, but I get a bit frustrated sometimes when you see 2-3 of yourself just go walking by you Or see 2-3 Toreador males go walking past you outside Venus's place. My first playthrough when I saw that, I had to do a double take...WTH? Now I'm just resigned to the fact, that there has been an awful LOT of in-breeding going on around the area. Great work Z | |

| I'm just waiting for the day when her flimsy, little, tier one top accidentally pops open. Spontaneous revelation of spectacular kindred breasts equals an automatic blood hunt for sure! Hells yeah!
"It's okay Ishtarri baby, I'll protect you from that mean 'ole, jealous hag, Queen of Santa Monica. She won't be able to find you as long as you stay hidden here with me, under the covers. I promise."

Seriously, if that bothers anyone, let me know via PM (and I don't mean David Cameron), or ask Malkav or Zer0 to edit.

| Actually menstration jokes ARE permitted, I'm menstrating right now actually and it's really funny! Max, I hear you on the mixing up the citizen's looks thing. I already reskinned the Tier 1 and 2 hunters, they look alot better now. I coudl see about at least recoloring the citizens walking around the hubs so they where diferent colored shirts and pants n stuff. I don't want to get too specific on details like adding logo's or fancy jewelry only because you may look at that guy and think "I saw this same guy in Santa Monica a few hours ago, is he following me?". I would want to make the generically different if that makes sense. How does that sound? | |

| I have to say, this model is amazing. In fact, all models I have seen here, being made for TFN, has impressed me greatly. I also enjoy the speed which updates are posted! This is not one of those mods where I have to sit for months waiting for a single screenshot/new model.

Long hair is a pain in the ass. I imagine waist length is a pain in a really long ass. You were speaking of hair, right?

If I may throw in my two cents (and participate in thread necromancy), you are quite right. Waist-long hair is a pain in your ass, or, better, a pain close to your ass. I've had my hair cut short.. er.. short er last week, and you don't believe how much easier that made my life. And I'm a person who doesn't put too much stock into good looks, I just like having my hair long. Imagine how much of a pain in the ass it is to actually do something fashionable with long hair. On your own. (You can't even see what you're doing in a normal mirror!) Don't you ever do this to your characters unless you ghoul a hair stylist (Or, better yet, two.) Darn, completely off-topic. Yeah, the Ishtarri's hair length is just right. Fits her clothing; I mean, you simply gotta see those lovely colors! (Now it's back on-topic. )

| I have long hair too, it grows just TOO damn fast ! Remember this ? My hair was about my shoulders at that time (which was about 18 months ago) (the hello kitty phone and cat ears picture was last august, right ?) Now my hair is about waist long, and tomorrow I'll cut it \o/ | |
