PostSubject: Santa Monica   Santa Monica EmptySat Oct 02, 2010 6:15 am

More reasons to come back and visit Santa Monica throughout the game are always welcome to me. For me, the momment I walk outside at the begining of the game and start stalking the streets and alleys, the Asylum nightclub, everything about it immerses me into the game.

It does however, have quite abit of content already, and there are other parts of the game that probably need more attention.

Yes, Santa Monica has a certain charm. I always stop at the windows in the haven, take a look out at the street and listen to the sirens outside, whenever I start a new game. That draws me in like few other things in the game, for some reason.

Agreed, and SM with the new Sunrise Diner and random signs draws me in even more. I can't wait until all this TFN stuff settles down so I can really sit down and reskin SM properly. I'd like to overhaul the shops, buildings, signs, everything, make it all seem new again. Of course I want to do this with all 4 hubs, but not until the core game is done of course.

Oh my sh*t! Even if you never get around to doing it, just the fact that you said it lets me know I chose to prattle about the right mod scene. Hot damn'!

I never (rarely lol) make false promises, so I won't promise that this will definately come to light, but I REALLY REALLY want to! Again once we tackle the bigger stuff like the core files, dialogues, skins, NPCs, bla bla bla then a total overhaul reskin of the 4 hubs is in order.

I actually prefer buildings and architecture over clothing and skin, it's alot easier to do and do it right. Adding stuff like grit, splatters, aged weather torn details, and the like is SOOO much fun for some reason... for me at least. Photoshop is amazing!

Ability to change the map is one thing that VtM:Redemption had over Bloodlines. A lot of people made some amazing maps for the Multiplayer games. Of course, most players weren't interested in real roleplay... just fighting hordes of werewolves and Zulos, and saying how cool they were for having the Ainkurn sword. I quickly lost interest.

Despite my carefully cultured cynicism towards anything related to White Wolf, I am really looking forward to the World of Darkness MMO. Just hope I'm not disappointed. The opportunity for real role-play... ah, wouldn't it be sweet. I love Bloodlines, and appreciate all the work done by those who make the mods, but I really miss roleplaying. Do you know how hard it is for someone pushing 50 to find a decent group of roleplayers? Especially ones who are over 30. By that time, all but the hardcore gamers have fallen by the wayside. I don't mind running the game, but I'm not a babysitter.

*drools over the thought of a new Santa Monica* ...awesome!

And, I'm also keeping a close on the new MMO, along with crossed fingers.
