| That's an idea, how would we go about it specifically? Like the "behind the scenes" details n stuff? | |

| Well, it would certainly make sense concerning the political stuff in Bloodlines. If you're smart, you can take an educated guess at who's playing whom and what ... and why. But I'm not sure if this shouldn't be linked to inspection, too. If it were to be the way I think it is, that is. I'm confusing myself now, heh. | |

| Well, being smart enough to figure out the plots and motives of those around you is always good, and should be rewarded... I'm just not sure how it would be done in the game. Realizing that something is wrong with Knox's story, and that Johansen isn't telling you something... Inspection should still be the feat used, since you're either spotting inconsistencies in their story, or noticing that they're nervous during their replies (Perception).
Intelligence, in the PnP rules, is your "ability to reason, solve problems, and evaluate situations." Perhaps if you found some sort of evidence in the game, you would only be able to understand it if your Intelligence is high enough. I'm sure that Zer0 could set up a script so that when you look at something, if your Intelligence is, say, 3 or higher, some message appears in your quest log. I'm still not sure where this would be useful, though.

| Ok you guys must've taken what he said a different way than I did. I thought he wanted the whole "If you have a high enough Intelligence, then you get a bonus to XP for rewards over 3" type of thing. That would be one script or so, but setting up individual situations where Intelligence nets you extra XP would be pretty time consuming. | |

| Isn't there already an item giving you +1xp if you earn 3xp or more all at once ?
I do think if the character is "too smart", he could see that it wasn't nines at grout's house... which brings down most of the story (then again, a smart character would be brought to santa monica and then get the hell out of LA in the first place)

True. And end up in Sabbat-held Mexico. Or Canada. So far for a quest for better unlife. Or East Cost with LaCroix's big brothers... World of Darkness offer so many choices.

| BTW, that item you mentioned is Saulocept. You could find it in the basment of the Giovanni, second crypt right , right after first wave of zombies. Kill two zombies and pick it, it's placed by the door. | |

| No no, such a bonus would make Intelligence the best stat. | |

| Fooey on you! Well i'm gonna keep my saved game with the Saulocept and use it in the update, so it screws up my game... wait... okay maybe not. Edit.: Instead of calling it 'The Final Nights' edition, why don'tcha call it the 'steal all the kewl exploits' edition? Next you'll be telling us that you're taking out the 'Sword that has no business being in Los Angeles in the First Place'? You know, the Tet'rahed'Ral blade, or whatever, that Akeem has so conveniently on sale for $2499.95 ($2999.95 Canadian). | |

I want it back! I want it... back. Go to the Giovanni mansion and get it back there. Hope I didn't sound too Ventrue-ish.

??? Which idea? I was mostly just trying to be funny. Do you mean move the Tal'mahe'Ra blade? Yeah, it made more sense in the Hallowbrook. It's somewhat feasible that Andrei might be one of the last surviving members of that sect. Or possibly in the mansion on Kings Way, although that's a bit early for a weapon like that. If it weren't impossible to get up there (without using noclip), I'd suggest putting it up on the ledge in the Hallowbrook basement, near where Andrei comes out and starts talking to you. Obviously, the only reason he wasn't using it in his last battle with you was that he couldn't use it while in his 'Horrid Form' (Vicissitude level 4). If one's Perception is high enough, you might see the blade shining up on the ledge, leaning against one of the arches. I've heard people say you can't really change the maps, but is there any way you can put some boulders or something on the floor, that we can stack and climb? Or even better, make one of those bundles in the corner (the sheets of skin, covering who knows what) climbable, like a ladder? That way, you can only get up to the blade if you're clever (or stubborn, like me). Just a suggestion. If none of that is possible, perhaps you could just hide the blade, so that it's only visible with high Perception (like the stuff you find around town). Shoot, for all I know you did that anyway. I didn't bother boosting Inspection after I fought Andrei, because you can't leave and return to the basement. (And I didn't feel like fighting him again, just to look for the sword with higher Inspection. That's a boring fight anyway.)

I agree. I'd be very careful with additional xp. For the matter of choices if you run away from LaCroix. I can just imagine one of the "real" elders at the west coast receiving an email from LaCorix "Please send back this fledgeling who ran away from my sevice." He'd be the laughing stock of the whole Camarilla. And the only thing clan Ventrue would possibly send would be a Cleaner to deal with such an incompetent part time prince. -

| Don't worry Malkav, I've been doing alot of game balancing research on my own lately and found that giving an XP bonus for high Intelligence just doesn't fit in the overall scope of things. I apologize Feral, but thanks for the idea anyways! As far as taking all of the "Kewl" things out of the game, I'm doing it one more time, LOL! The Occult Blade (Tal' Rahma Cheezburger) or whatever it's called, ya know the one that has no business being in LA, IZ GONE! That and the Shin Gunto no longer exist in TFN, YAY!!! Or BOO depending on who you are. I will be posting more on this as I near completion of my latest project for TFN. It's a secret that's been taking all of my time lately, which is why I haven't been posting much lately... so SHHHH don't tell anyone. | |

| If you put points into this attribute, it automatically raises all of your other stats. They made this mistake in Fallout.
Also, being smart doesn't mean you get better at basketball faster.

PS - Everytime you take an "obvious choice" weapon out of the game, all the other weapons love you more.
