| Have just started playing through 1.4, damned good stuff so far Here's my problem, I've got the poster quest up and running and Gary has just asked for the 3 Sewer Documents. I've only got two of them and I can't find a way back to the sewers (Warrens?) to seek out the missing one. The door in the Hub sewer system is locked (un-pickable). Is the poster quest now dead and buried or is there a way back? | |

| You must go to a saved game and open those doors frome the inside, I'm afraid. Acces to the first is in the main hall, on the left , one of two doors on the opposite sides of a wide sewer section. Its in the first sewer. Good idea is to open second door as well, it's in a very simmilar setting as the first one, but in the sewer with that gigantic abomination, if memory serves. Then you could always go down for a little creepy crawlers hunt and stress relief | |

| Shhhhh, no cheat codes here, move along, nothing to see, PS They worked but... what's the deal with the second copy of Guy Magazine. Is it a dead item if you've already given a copy to Imalia? | |

| Hmm, Wouldn't it be cool if you could sell it , but only after Imalia has got her copy. Kind of as a reward for remembering about Carson's trunk. Just a thought / suggestion / | |

| Ah blessed money , The root cause of all the worlds problems. But in this case, if a monetary reward were given for the second copy it would / could help to pay for the College courses. See, money for = | |

| If you remember Carson's trunk, you don't have to buy the other one. (You know, the one where Flynn has spilled the milk) That saves quite a lot of money. Isn't that enough? - | |

| True, But , if its the first time through the game you don't know that there is a second copy in the trunk. In the vanilla / non-camarilla editions its something else, and since you can now complete the poster quests without opening it you could be mislead into thinking that its something cool (i.e. not a quest item). I suppose what I'm getting at is this; I don't usually have a lock-pick skill of 8 till near the end , so the trunk is something I don't get to do till I've finished most of the side-quests plus with it being in Santa Monica I usually have to make a special trip (the blood bank is fairly useless, especially once you've got the Odious Chalice). Finally, it totally makes sense that Carson would have a copy given the enormous boner hes got for Imalia (magazine should have been in there all along) P.S. Just finished the game for the first time as Brujah and Celerity makes the combat way too easy | |

| What do you want me to make of it? A kind of "powerup" for male characters only: INT -2, Wits -1, physical attributes +1 while they have it along? Or perhaps a slightly larger bloodpool when they look at it just before feeding? When I decided to make a copy you don't have to buy, it was obvious to put it in Carsnon's apartment. Perhaps you are right, and the trunk should be a bit easier to pick. But on the other hand I don't want it to be too easy to get. And you're right of course: presence/celerity is a killer. - | |

| I'm liking the 'power-up' idea, science has proven that men live longer if they regularly get to look at breasts. (THIS IS NOT A JOKE, SCIENTISTS - MEN - HAVE DONE THE RESEARCH AND HAVE DATA TO BACK IT UP ) You'd have to also increase the chance of Frenzy (get a little too excited a little too quickly), but only for a short time. After that it has a Seduction -4, the hookers charge full price and none of the blood dolls will speak to you . The trunk; level 8 is a little high (esp since you can't use disciplines). Celerity; never played it with a character who had celerity before, but once you get to level 3 (the highest I took the character) while the game is still fun, dodging bullets and watching bad guys shoot where you were, it becomes mundane. I've always found Bach to be a problem but with Celerity he didn't manged to hit me ONCE. Finally, Potence +Presence + Celerity + Blood Buff = NEO We seem to have wandered off topic, a little. | |

| Tongue-in-cheek humor aside... Malkav and Feral were being sarcastic. Kindred do not get aroused. The only 'powerup' I see associated with the magazine is a +1 to chance of Frenzy due to frustration, as you realize you are no longer turned on by pictures of naked women. That reaction is for living bodies only.
As for the game being too easy at higher levels... it's not just Brujah. When I play a Ventrue, the combination of Presence and Fortitude makes the character a tank. During that penultimate battle with the Sheriff, where he's blipping around and trying to chop you with his sword, I hardly take any damage. Auspex + Celerity turns a Toreador into a hard-to-hit tornado of destruction. Easy stealth kills for Nosferatu, Protean 5 mega-powerups for Gangrel... the end of the game is the least challenging part, once you have become that powerful.
There are several mods for Bloodlines, and most try to make the game more challenging in various ways. Since I don't do any of the actual work involved in modifying the game, I try not to bug the modders too much about minor changes I'd like them to make... especially ones that are hard to achieve, like making the game more difficult.
As for not having the lockpicking skill required to get in Carson's trunk... I guess that's all part of the character-building process. Do I raise my lockpicking skill high enough to get in the trunk? Or do I raise something else, and sacrifice a little money to buy Flynn's copy? Decisions, decisions. | |

| @ dizzy: You can use Bloodbuff for lockpicking in Elysium. You just have to start the lockpicking first, and then activate the discipline while the character is trying to pick the lock. Celerity always has been a killer, even in the vanilla game. But in CE with the longer duration it is even more so. PGM, I certainly was joking when I made the suggestion about the magazine as a powerup. And the game, especially combat, being rather easy is not only true for higher levels. If I get the timing and positions right, my Malk can kill everybody in the beachhouse without really having to fight. Usually I don't have (or need) any weapon before I get the knife from Jeanette, and the first gun I don't sell at once for the college is Igors Glock. And that's usually the only gun I keep until I can get a Desert Eagle and a Steyr. - | |

| BloodBuff while lockpicking, never tried it. Have always assumed NO meant NO, but NO actually means YES once you've started, hmmm PGM, guess your right. Normally I get combat ready first, Seductive / Persuasive second, Hacky / Picky / Researchy third and Stealthy last. I've found that Persuasion gets a lot of things done, and you do need a high level for the Giovanni side-quest. Maybe a change in priority will make the game more challenging. | |

| Bloodbuff while lockpicking is the only exception for discipline use in Elysium. And they probably only made it for Carson's trunk. The only reason for it being in Elysium is that it's on the same map as Mercurio's apartment. And I'd really suggest you try a little stealth in your next game. You can get quite a few extra xp for some quests if you complete them without being seen or without killing somone: - Spoiler:
-the warehouse: planting the explosive without being seen -traffic: taking the suitcase without being seen; if you don't have obfuscate you probably have to stealthkill one of the guards, but that's no problem -the museum: getting down to the sarcophagus room without killing anybody I think you also get extra xp for the Dane quest if you don't kill anybody, but I'm not sure right now
Try a Malk. It's just too fun telling Igor his friends are salmon, or Boris that Dima wants to betray him, and then watch them shoot it out for themselves. Plus you can tell this arrogant food tester he is eating maggots. That's always worth the two or even three bloodpoints.

| Stealth you say, hmmmm I've manged the warehouse, traffic, museum and Dane before, even with Stealth as a low priority. The Dane is the easiest, anyone without Obfuscate the Policeman sorts you out and well those with just go for a stroll. The museum is pretty rough, I've managed it with Obfuscate but I find I still have to kill at least one guard (guess which one) without. Traffic, with Obfuscate is fun as hell since they start shooting each other as soon as the case goes missing But without, never managed it without killing. Warehouse, done both with and without Obfuscate - probably second easiest. Have to agree on the Malk, they are a good balance of stealth and brutality plus they get some of the best lines (My fav moment so far is as a Nosf in china town, the bad luck farmer - where you're confronted by the angry man in the locker room and the only dialogue option is 'BOO'. Makes me every time) | |
