I'm going to have to disagree. I like having the metaplot having an impact on the campaign itself. To me, if a VtM campaign doesn't somehow reference or have any connection beyond the city itself, then it's no different than a VtR game. | |

| Oh god no, but sometimes news and information of something way beyond the players abilities can be a reminder of what really does lie beyond. Most of my campaigns have been centred on one city but have faced refugees, messages and lost contact of other princedoms, even a brush with war in one instance, but one campaign reached a point that they didn't believe the Sabbat was real in the game which had... delicious results. | |
