PostSubject: Random effects for the Disciplines (aka Dementation reworking) - good or bad?    Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:28 pm

I would like to change the Dementation to be a more chaotic and less predictable Discipline. But - as this game allows saving at any time during the play - I'm not sure if this won't mean only some abuse in the end...

Let's look on the first level as an example...

Quote :
DEMENTATION LVL 1 - The Haunting

Blood cost: 0
Duration/counter: not sure yet
1 target

Human:
60%: -1 to atributes in a similar way the Tyrant's Gaze is working right now
40%: flee condition/script

Supernatural:
30%: no effect
50%: -1 to atributes in a similar way the Tyrant's Gaze is working right now
20%: flee condition/script

Boss:
70%: no effect
30%: -1 to atributes in a similar way the Tyrant's Gaze is working right now
I personally would'nt execute this save/load abuse (when I would play the Malkavians - as I prefere some role-playing above power game), but I'm uncertain if the flee can be a "game-breaking" effect at some point during the story?

What do you think?
