| Title says it all, not sure if it's possible to add such a thing, but if it is then I believe it would make a fine edition to both CE and TFN. | |

| If you want to the enemy to hit harder on you, just edit the file malkav or someone else will be posting soon cuz i have forgotten the name.. There you can edit the damage value of the weapons as they are for example 8/2, which means u hit with that weapon for 8 basis damage and the enemy hit you with 2 basic damage. Else from that i know only Pop's difficulty mod and PnP Combat Mod, but i don't think you can just include them in TFN/CE cuz they modify disciplines etc as well. | |

| Shabutaro, you are talking about one of the config files. I'm not sure which one right now, but I think it's skills.cfg where you also can set the size of the ammo clips and the max. ammo the player can carry around for each gun. You find the config files in \vampire\cfg\ - | |

| Yep thats right But ingame a button to choose "easy" "normal" "hard".. i think that will not be possible cuz something like that doesn't appear in the engine. Maybe you could solve it with an executable who changes the skills.cfg, but you need for each difficulty another skills.cfg etc. Btw.: Malakv, do your job! it's 9 am, you can't tell me you have to start to work at 10 or even later ^^ | |

| I think the easiest way to implement difficulty levels would be through histories. Instead of trying to balance out each hsitory you'd rate them as easy, normal, or hard. | |

| Could certain histories be added to change the effects for the games? Like just easy, normal, and hard. And it'll effect the damage you do, your enemies deal, and your enemies prowess a finding you as you sneak about their home turf. In addition a hardcore realistic mode could be made that makes sneaking nearly impossible unless you take a certain route. For example that cop standing off to the side on that boat quest? He could actually be put on a patrolling route in that little area so it makes it harder as if he sees you he'll bust a cap up your ass, and it'll make it easier that all you really have to do is hide behind a wall, go 3rd person so you can see him and sneak behind him as he makes his rounds. | |

| Or make a separate version of FTN/CE entirely were the difficulty is tuned up/down. | |

| You don't need to make a whole new version of the mod to tweak difficulty. It would be enough to simply have different versions of the skill1.cfg file.
For those that don't know, that files holds the multipliers for player and NPC weapon damage and can be found in "[Bloodlines main directory]/Vampire/cfg". By default player does 4x as much damage as NPCs.
So it would be possibly to make several version of that and then during mod installation the player gets asked which difficulty they want to install.
A few possible examples: Easy: Player 200% damage, NPC 25% damage Default: Player 100% damage, NPC 25% damage Hard: Player 100% damage, NPC 50% damage Realistic: Player 100% damage, NPC 100% damage Impossible: Player 100% damage, NPC 200% damage Double Default: Player 200% damage, NPC 50% damage Brutal: Player 200% damage, NPC 200% damage Instagib: Player 1000% damage, NPC 1000% damage

| sounds interesting, or at least a file to read which explains it, that you can easily load it via console | |

| There is another small change that can make enemies a lot more dangerous. In \vampire\vdata\system\rules.txt, there is an entry for for defense and soak difficulty. Normally it's set to 3 for the pc and 7 for npcs. In my most recent game I have set it to 7/7, so now both the pc and npcs must roll a 7 for successfull defense or soak attempts. Normally I go through the Changs like a hot knife through butter, but this time I had to reload about a dozen times until I managed to pin them in a corner and slice them to ribbons... Bach also gave me trouble. - | |
