| One last (major) change I added to TFN 1.1 tonight was whenever you have certain weapons equipped in the main hubs and someone sees you carrying it around, the police will be alerted. Here are a list of the weapons that will incur a criminal violation if found wielding one. - Katana - Ninjato - Nodachi - Flamethrower - Crossbow - Flaming Crossbow - Remington rifle - Scoped Remington rifle - Severed Arm - Torch - All Hand Guns - All Shotguns - Submachine Guns - Steyr Aug - Serpentis Claws - Daimoinon Claws I'm allowing baseball bats, knives, the bush hook, the fireaxe, tire irons, and the baton to be openly carried because those weapons can be held in a way so it doesn't look so aggressive. Let me know what you guys think of this change. I think it makes the game so much more realistic and the system works VERY well. I tested it for several hours tonight and it rocks! Let's discuss... | |

| Do you mean equipped as in "equipped but holstered" ?
And why is the torch a criminal act? Aren't you allowed to walk with a torch? If so i must bee lucky to never get caught by the police as i do that often with friends when we go somewhere to chill in the night like a playground or so^^

| I'd also ban the bush hook.. I always hide weapons when I'm outside, for immersion reasons | |

| Equipped but holstered is ok. Any weapon that is holstered is no problem as you don't have it out where it can be seen, you have it hidden. But you will get a criminal violation if anyone in the main hubs see you with the weapons out, in your hands, unholstered.
I guess here in the US a man with a lit torch walking in the streets would garner alot of attention and concern, and if the police saw you carrying it in a crowded place they would certainly want to talk to you about it. That was my justification for adding the torch to the list. I know some of the hunters carry lit torches but I've tried to make sure they are in solitary places away from the majority and crowds of people.
The bush hook is actually a legitimate landscaping tool which is why i'm allowing it to be carried without alerting attention. That was my reasoning behind allowing it.
Not everyone will agree with all of my choices on what should or shouldn't be allowed to be carried and everyone has a different opinion on this so I'm just going to go with mine.

| If they don't like your choices they can make their own mod. | |

| The idea is sound. But if it is possible, give a short time before the police is called. At least if you only reload your gun before or after trading with Larry, and then holster it again. For me, this is the only reason to draw a fireweapon on a hub anyway. - | |

| Well my Bunny-hoppin-ninja-slashing movement style will be disabled than I can't help it but jumping around the hub with my katana drawn and slashing the air ^^ Well immersion is immersion Ofc it's a good idea and if i don't like something in the end i will change it either way ^^ Well besides passwords i haven't had to change anything so far... | |

| Uncertain about batons since I know very few people aside from cops and possibly bodyguards of some description that actually uses them. I think the police would at least keep an eye on someone who's carrying a baton. | |

HAHA! Good call Dragatus! Actually it’s really easy to edit/remove this new function. If you go into the vamputil.py file located in \Vampire\Python, you will see the function at the very top just under the bloodloss system. There you can add or remove weapons as long as you know the name of the weapon. The function is also baked into the maps now but I’m sure you can just leave those in and remove the function from the vamputil.py file and be ok. - Childe of Malkav wrote:

- If you are crouching and/or nobody can see you then you can bring out the weapon without fear of the police being called. But what I could do is specifically setup Larry so that he won’t react to you carrying weapons so that you don’t have to worry about him freaking out for reloading your gun in front of him. Of course you would still have to worry about passer-bys. How does that sound?

| Yep, I think at least the shopkeepers shouldn't freak out, if you reload your guns before or after buying ammo. On the same matter, what about Mercurio? His apartment is Elysium. - | |

| I agree Malkav! The only shop keepers that would be affected by this would be ones who are selling directly in the hubs, like Larry. This isn’t setup anywhere but the hubs so the other shop keepers are unaffected, including Mercurio.
Thanks Feral!

| Here is the code located in the VampUtil.py file. Very easy to edit.
