| Is this how it's supposed to be, or is it a bug? I went into the Tremere haven (using 'noclip'), and the chest was there. I'm playing Brujah, though, and there's no chest in my haven. | |

| Hi DeeKay, welcome to the forum. The chest certainly is intended to be there. And I never had any problems with it not appearing. So this is either a random bug and should go away if you restart from a point before your first visit in the skyline building. Or it's a problem caused by a corrupted download. Or did you install something that is not CE only on a clean installation of the game (either with or without the official 1.2 patch)? - | |

| I tried starting from a save from before I entered the apartment. I've also tried starting from a save before I first came to Downtown. It still isn't there.
I've installed the official patch + the CE mod (with some of the other mods that are included in the CE installation pack).
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I've encountered this bug before when I was playing the game using only the official patch. But at that point it got fixed by starting from a saved game from before I entered Skyline apts. Nothing seems to fix it now, though. =( | |

| There are no other mods included in the CE installer. Either you are talking about Clan Quest, or about one of the compilations. If you're talking one of the compilations, like this vtmb 2010, I don't give a damn, because the people responsible for these never asked permission to use CE, and on top of that made rules changes that are not necessary for the compilation. Clan Quest is another matter, as burgermeister and I have been in contact about it. But right now I don't have a clan quest installation with CE on my computer, and I must admit, The only time I made a playthrough with clan quest and CE was with clan quest 2.1, about two years ago. I had a clan quest 3.0 install with CE, but never made it beyond Santa Monica. Then I reinstalled with the plus patch only. No problem there. If I had to guess, I'd say it is a problem caused by the combination of these mods with comp mod. Comp mod changes the haven maps, the other mods leave the haven maps mostly alone. So trouble most likely stems from merging these map files. - | |

| Thanks. I'll try reinstalling the game, add the official and the unofficial patch, CE and Clan Quest, and then I'll get back to this thread. | |

| You can't install various patches/mods at the same time. You just install the clan quest mode, and select what you want in the installer there. All the mods are built on the unofficial patch in one form or another. If you install more than one at a time all kinds of random unpleasant things will happen, because bloodlines modding can only be done by changing game files. And different mods change the same files in different ways, so installing them one on another, none will work properly. - | |
