I only ratted out Mercurio once, just to see how much trouble he'd get into. After the (brief) fight on the beach was over, I went back to a saved game and didn't tell LaCroix anything. As I said, Mercurio is too useful to kill.

Oh gee, I'd love to watch the stream, but it probably ended hours ago. My schedule just does not match up with this.

Though I might have quite a bit of confidence in the guy, I usually find myself on the edge of my seat when he gets into certain fights, given that I know how they could turn out. Like his fight with Jezebel, and the two you mentioned. Damn good thing he dealt with them in short order.

That, and I'm always on edge about one little slip of his rules(which don't seem to always involve final death in this case), and it's back to the start for us. Then there is the fact that he thinks he can pretty much take out anyone that so much as calls him the wrong thing, without any concern as to what such an act would mean, if it were possible. Oh, and it is ironic that he mentioned taking out Nines at one point. Or at least, it will be that. Though given his leaning to the Anarchs, it might not apply so much anymore.

I'm going to pretty much HATE watching him do Ming and the Sheriff. What I can't wait for though, is to see how he views the entire warrens section. I know most aren't so fond of it, but I personally don't have any problems with it.

Yeah I loled a little, but then again, I know the game like my pocket.. though I didn't remember Vanilla didn't have blood heal Oo I remembered there were both blood buff and blood heal, and neither were upgradeable (aka they weren't on the character sheet), but now I doubt <_<

I think the plus patch must have introduced Blood Heal then. It's pretty interesting to see the vanilla game again. It's been ages since I played it like that. My first playthrough was with just the official 1.2 patch, but then I installed the plus version of the unofficial path and never looked back.

Same goes for me. When I installed the UP, I did so in the plus version, and since haven't played vanilla or the base patch again.
But from the modding, I still know many of the differences.
In vanilla, there is only blood buff, and it raises the physical attributes to 5. Feeding heals 10 points of damage per bloodpoint, and natural healing is a bit faster than in the plus-patch or in CE and TFN.
The plus-patch keeps healing while feeding. Blood heal is there, but not on the char-screen, because you can't raise it, and blood buff adds 2 points to each physical attribute, up to a maximum of 10.

This honestly feels like Christof's situation. He goes through all that, and the only result is that he has to try it once again.

Either way, 4th attempt? Failed. Died while fighting the female Tzimsce creation, because he fell down into that large gap. Or so it seems anyway. He was trying to use a shotgun against it, from the ground floor no less. He quickly tried it with melee(similar to his tests with Mercurio), and killed it in about ten or fifteen seconds. I wonder what he is going to think when he sees that there are more of them.

I don't know if he would consider Redemption, but if he does...

I believe he is using the 8.1 basic patch, if I remember correctly. I had thought that Blood Heal was supposed to be added by both versions of the patch(or re-enabled rather), but apparently not, since he doesn't seem to have it. I think he'd like that one, though he seems to do fine with just waiting for his health to regen after a fight.

Oh, and then there was his paranoia with the Sewers. Starting with a worry about a bug at the start of Warrens 2 that apparently makes you unable to move the character, and thus you'd just float into the turbines. He got through that fine though. Then his MASSIVE worry about the electricity near the timing puzzle(which was compounded by a few people who tried to tell him he had to jump on items floating in the water, and that he couldn't go in it). The puzzle itself seemed to really piss him off, given that he wonders how you'd even WANT to figure such a puzzle out in the first place. I was hoping he'd stop just after(as in save and call it a night), but nope.

He's making steady progress. We're up to the monastery now. The Fu Syndicate part was hard on his nerves though.

I don't think he's ready for CE yet, let alone TFN. But he said he'll use the plus patch when he replays as Malkavian.

Maybe an easy version of CQM ? CE's going to be too hard, probably.

CQM might be an option. I'm not familiar with it, what does it change?

It mostly adds quite a few quests, most of them related to the clans(i.e a special quest for each clan). It also adds about four other quests that can be done by any clan, two of them relating to going to a certain location and saving someone, an "evil" quest, and one that...well, this one I'd rather not spoil, since I love it so much.

Beyond that, the most recent version adds a number of options at installation, one of them being the inclusion of the CompMod(albeit stripped, only offering Heather and Yukie), the Arsenal Mod, CE, along with a list of others, mostly texture or model replacements for NPCs and PCs.
