Modding tutorials?

Hi there. I'm rather new to this, and only recently found out about the Final Nights mod. I'm fascinated by the prospect of the new clans, characters and quests in it... but am not quite as interested in the gameplay alterations. What would be the best place to learn how to remove the aspects that aren't new content?

I did try to play the mod raw once, but it failed due to screen resolution problems that kept me from playing the vanilla game without the unofficial patch, so if I could be told how to fix that, it would be lovely as well.

And if I remember correctly, there should be an exe in the main folder to fix the resolution settings.

Above all else, the things I'm interested in are the new clans, characters and quests. The altered stats, periodic blood draining, item invisibility without Investigation, etc, less so.
