Malkavian font is annoying

Hello guys, good work on the mod, it brought me back to this priceless gem of a game.

One question though - how to get rid of the Malkavian font? It's hard to read and breaks game immersion for me. I don't need a special font to enjoy their lunacy at all.

Hm, there is a file somewhere that controls the fonts, but I'm not even sure if it's unpacked for the patch or any of the mods. And right now, I'm too tired to look it up. Perhaps tomorrow.

P.S.: All I found is -bloodlines/vampire/resource/trackerscheme.res There are changes from Wesp in it, so it's unpacked in the Patch and all mods built on the patch. It's a simple textfile, so you can open and edit it with Notepad.

I'm not sure. Probably it's enough to change it for your screen resolution.

I had to change this in TFN so that the Salubri didn't talk like mad men. Open up the file Malkav talked about and find the following entry.

You will want to change the name to "Vamp_Dialog_Base" which will make the font look like everyone elses. If you look at the top of the entry you will see "Dlg_Malk_800". This means that this only works for the 800x600 resolution size. You will want to do this for ALL of the resolution sizes (640, 1024, 1280, and 1600). So there are a total of 5 entries to make changes too.

you should not slight malkavian font for that added level of lunacy in their dialogue in the game.

in extremely successful comic books part of their value has been precisely in the lettering of the dialogues

is considered a god in the comics industry
precisely by the way his fonts added levels of meaning to the dialogue texts contained (not always) in the word balloons
e.g. for sandman he created... almost a different font for every character....
at least the most recurrent ones
certainly one for each of the main characters, the 7 endless....

to me what you complain about is an added value.

they do deserve to speak their own way,
i mean have their own idiosyncratic dialogue options....

perhaps each clan should....

which was the clan from vanilla that you chose as template for the salubri?
when it comes to dialogue, you seem to be implying it was the malkavians...

i do remember that each clan you created for this version of the game was sort of a patchwork quilt of modified and reassembled pieces of cloth....

Sometimes the letters do get annoying and hard to read, I personally prefer just reading the sentence without having to screw my brain in the ass to figure out what someone is saying.

No, I'm just teasing. I like to mess with people's minds on occasion. Though now that I think of it, trying to mess with the mind of a Malkavian is kind of like trying to rape a tentacle monster - the roles can easily get reversed and then you're screwed.
