I think what he's asking is whether it's possible to take out Lyle Kersten, since he's sort of your fiancé's doppelganger... or is he protected by the Storyteller?

Knowing you, I don't think Lyle is immune to death in the game; but I doubt the characters posses the power or ingenuity to do the job.

Basically what blue-eyed Duncan said, except the "plot armor" is more general than simply "not being able to kill" a person, and "your fiancée game insertion" is more restrictive than "doppelganger"

Lyle is totally killable, as well as Claudia, even if they were the characters I and my fiancé were playing
There's no such thing as ST protected NPCs, but some characters are not as easy to take down as others (especially a Tremere known for her perception, and another Tremere known for his brutality)
