Wait. ... So Claudia's real life name is not Claudia?
EDIT: I almost wrote there "For example, Jafar". Glad to see I'm not the only one who sees the connection.

Should I have said "Spoiler Alert"? Didn't know I was giving out secrets.
Claudia and Lyle were their characters in a LARP game. Claudia translated the game and its characters to Bordeaux, and the rest is forum game history.

And no Claudia is not my real name that's be pretty pretentious of me to name a character after me XD
There was this LARP with this setting in Liege, Belgium. It wasn't a regular LARP but rather "artisticly enclined" events (there were a total of 3 plus a prelude). I recycled the setting and adapted it to bordeaux because I found it easier for me to explain French politics and stakes than Belgian ones. (The cities are very similar in population and other stuff, with the notable exception that liege was ruled by Prince-Archbishops (the human title !)) For instance Theodore's last name in Liege is not Jacob, but Grignoux (I'll let you google it).
I was asked by Flavien (setting guy) to portray Claudia and I found out that Oli (who presented Fla and me) was playing my sire. At the time we weren't dating nor anything anyway. And I was wearing contact lenses too ^^
And the girl who did our avatars isn't the same girl who drew Lyle and Claudia

Really? Looks similar to the style used for Duncan. My mistake.

Well Claudia and Lyle barely interacted in those LARPs so we didn't really hang out. (Except when Claudia had to ask her sire for help, which made me like, be all nervous and all to interrupt the Regent.. was quite funny )
Black Bird has a more "comic, tim burtonesque" approach than kokomiko Koko usually makes killer cheeks, but Blackbird likes rounder shapes better (and she made a cute Changeling-ish comic : http://blackbirdink.deviantart.com/ )

The thing that's scary about Kersten in that picture is his shoulder-to-waist ratio and his massive arms. I always imagined him to be a bit more ... you know ... sleek. Not that muscular. It made me go 'whuh?' because his body type just looks a bit off, but that's probably more due to the wrinkles in his suit than the drawing itself. Still scary, though.

Said the guy from a country that hasn't been in a war since 1870. Except when we had to send some soldiers to help you northeners get your shit straight.
Brazil is not "filled" with Europeans, and the native slaughter was not as brutal as on the Spanish america, even if it's because Portugueses are clinically retarded down to the very last one. But I don't expect you to know that since I don't know shit about Belgium.
In any case, get rekt you insufferable flemmish twink.

Belgium and Democratic Republic of Congo. Nuff said
What is stunning about Brasil is that it kept together after independence. Unlike Spanish colonies who broke into a bunch of countries. Now you guys have a civil war because of the football shit tho. Me long sigh and all my sympathies

Uhh, the only thing this has to do with football is the anger at the billions wasted on the World Cup.

Mike is fabulous.
I know how to pronounce Mishel... but in Texas, I think the usual response would be, "Michelle - ain't that a girl's name?"

In Texas a scientist was booed after saying that the moon reflected the sun's light. So yeah...

Yes, I read about that... "God made two great lights -- the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars." Silly scientists; the moon doesn't reflect light, it's a light source. (sigh)
At least Texas wasn't to blame for that creationist guy who 'debated' Bill Nye -- Ken Ham is from Australia, and lives in Kentucky. I saw clips of that fiasco. What an idiot. There are trees older than this guy thinks the universe is.
Let's conveniently ignore the inconvenient parts of the bible-- the parts that say slavery is okay; or that working on the Sabbath is a capital offense; or how it's a sin to wear two different types of cloth together. Instead, we'll focus on the parts that say the Earth didn't exist more than 6000-7000 years ago.
Oh, and while we're at it, let's discuss what Jesus had to say about homosexuality. Oh wait... he didn't say ANYTHING about homosexuality. Not one word. My bad.
The bible sure has a lot to say about accumulation of wealth, though. Pretty much everyone in the Old Testament seemed to think it was okay to get rich and screw everyone else, as long as the church got their cut.
(Sorry... talking about ignorant idiots makes me angry.)

I actually saw the debate with Lyle and we were all in between "seriously?" Meme to "wtf Jackie chan" meme.
There's this one tray episode of Penn and Teller Bullshit on creationism. I don't always agree with them but this one is spot on XD
But seriously, the moon a source of light ? Dafuq..
*long sigh*
Philo : yeah and that anger as well as the issue of transport prices will cause a civil war /me hopes

I didn't watch it, because I knew it wouldn't be a debate... because in a debate, both sides use logic and reason to state their viewpoint. So-called 'Young-Earth Creationists' use neither logic nor reason.
You know, I would like to believe in some higher power, and something beyond this life that we are unable to detect because we are "in the Matrix", so to speak. But that doesn't mean I ignore all fossil, geological, and astronomical evidence that proves the universe is older than six or seven thousand years. Most people who call themselves 'Christians' accept that their bible is flawed... it is a moral road map, not a science textbook.
There is a quote that I like, which describes people like those in Waco, Texas, and the Young-Earth Creationists like Ken Ham.
“It is as useless to argue with those who have renounced the use of reason as to administer medication to the dead” -- Thomas Jefferson
