| There's is a lot about VtmB to love, but I think it can be better. I'm going to start with my personal notion of a retooling of some of the original disciplines to better reflect the pnp and also to be a little more fun, at least IMO.
I just finished Presence, so I'll drop it off and start work on something else if you seem to like my work.
Presence Kindred are well versed in using their supernatural charisma to subtly manipulate the thoughts and emotional states of those around them for their own benefit. The perverse subtlty of Presense ensures that it does not violate the Masquerade and often it's powers are just as effective on the supernatural as they are on Kine.
Dot 1 Awe - You can very literally turn on the charm to receive a +2 bonus to charisma, manipulation, and appearance for 30 seconds. No blood cost.
Dot 2 Dread gaze - All mortals within a medium range are filled with fear and flee from you for 10seconds. One blood point cost.(same panic state as when bosses bump into people in the street.)
Dot 3 Entrancement - intense emotions fill the target, causing them to be incapacitated for a short time. Supernatural entities are subject, though powerful forces(read:bosses) can shrug this off. Not sure on blood cost, 1 seems appropriate, but might bump up to 2 since t can be using against vampiric rank and file.
Dot 4 Adoration - target cannot bring themselves to defend against you and are stripped entirely of their defense score while also suffering a reduction to their rate of attack. Effective against supernatural. Blood cost seems right at 2
Dot 5 Majesty - basically the old 5dot presence, only the rebuff is taken out and the mez rate is brought up to 50%. Blood cost at 2. Might make it last longer as an aura as well. 25 seconds possibly. Not sure.
Anyway this is my first submission and my attempt to make Presense more interesting. It was always a good discipline, but a little boring for me. Hopes this breaths as much life into the discipline for you as it does for me. Let me know if I should continue with discipline retrofits or move on to some of my other concepts. | |

| Is this just an idea, or have you also programmed it? And if you have, what good will Awe do, since all disciplines are ended when you go in dialog mode. As you might know, for CE I have scripted a dialog use for presence that allows on many occasions to get a bonus on persuasion, seduction, and intimidation. - | |

| No programming. Good point on awae, I temp forgot that disc end in conov. Give me a bit. I'll figure something. Awe - Anyone in close range of you suffers a -2 penalty to Unarmed,Melee, and Ranged checks for 10 seconds. one blood point.
a weak variant of mass hallucination basically makes sense within presense and may even work well the majesty | |

| The thing is- Malkav, can you turn a non-targeted, level-less discipline like Presence or Auspex or Obfuscate (in Vanilla) into a targeted one with several levels (Dominate...)? Is it feasable ?

Actually, presence in bloodlines is a targeted discipline. Else it would affect the player only. Never tested if I can rip it apart to act like dominate. - | |

| Stupid nomenclature that means nothing XD Obfuscate "should" be targetted too since it affects other's perception :p /troll
Maybe it's something to test ; can you break a "the same but greater according to level" based disciplines into "different power per dot" discipline ?

| Let me know if I should start with some simpler ideas that don't require breaking and opening a discipline. I have plenty of history ideas and a few random gameplay elements floating around. | |

I can break it up, but that causes other problems, and my knowledge of discipline editing is still insufficient. @Kanis: You're welcome to post any idea you have. Just do me one favor, create a separate topic for every individual idea, and give it a meaningful name. But don't expect any new quests or similar to appear in the first version. First I have to implement the changes in the rules and game mechanics I intend to do. - | |
