Trouble getting Masquerade Violations (MV for short)

I believe this is unintended, but it can be discussed as "of course" as well.

Thing is, if you violate the masquerade and enter in combat with the police, it will take a loooong time until you can violate it again, as if you are still in combat so it doesn't matter (the of course part 1), or people already know about it so it doesn't matter (of course part 2).

But take this in consideration: if I use Rest for the Wicked (Trance) from Baali, which looks FANTASTIC, but is visible to the human eye (like the animalism trance), you will get a violation. Now, hide with Obfuscate. After a few minutes, get out of cover, and throw a Conflagration, which is severely underpowered btw. No masquerade violation. Is it because people are scared?

Actually, i just tested further. I violated once and went on a FEEDING FEEVAR \O/ and, believe it or not, my Baali isn't raising any red flags! I'm sucking people dry, becoming a demon, possesing people on the street, burning cops, yet, no MV!!! Oh yeah, full blood pool

To be discussed: shouldn't my actions bring more hunters (MV), or one MV means I screwed the scene?

When you violate the masquerade, a timer starts where you can't violate it again for a certain amount of time. It sounds like you may had been experiencing this "grace" period.

Sounds like I'm reseting it everytime I violate it before it ends. How long is it anyway, 10 minutes?

Edit.: Btw, I delaying my test on the bloodloss timer, where if I suck someone even with full blood pool, the timer would reset, and, another note, if I drank a blood pack, it would reset as well. Rats... No, I mean, if a pack heals 3, and I'm 3 points away from full, and the timer 5 seconds from decreasing the pool, I wonder if healing with a handy blood pack would reset the timer... it does make sense actually.

Yeah, LOL. The game runs on timers and we added even more for the blood loss system, baali dancing, the ishtarri weakness, the samedi detection.... SOOO many timers.

Conflagration isn't underpowered. It's a boss-killer. The damage it does is a percentage of total health. The stronger the opponent the more useful it is.

It's a wonderful hold discipline too. When facing 2 opponents, hit one with conflagration and let them burn while fighting the other guy. He'll stand there and fan the flames while you take out his friend.

It seemed spammable enough to me when I did my Baali run back in TFN 1.2. I killed Ming Xiao using only Conflagration and it did over 100 damage per cast.
