Get it? Because I'm a vampire. Mu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha… It’s funny.

Where'd everyone go? Busy? Distracted? I know that feel.

Summer torpor, except of course for Philo. Too much sun makes kindred lethargic.

Personally, I just moved to Warsaw and have been busy with organizing this and my new job for the last month or so... not much time or energy to roleplay, as a result.

Very funny...
As far as I know it started in 10th century... To think Poles are at least 30% German by blood. I saw a paper on it. What went wrong and where? Sad

At least this time it is only one German, without all that Rote Pest from the Eest... Very Happy

That particular confusion I get when I read something, keep going, then stumble across a word I don't know and try to figure it out, only to realize I am two exchanges into a language I am not fluent in (and didn't realize I was translating), but it's the English phrase I missed.

Rote Pest? What meanest thou by this parsing?

Red pest from the East... Commies in general, Soviet Commies in particular?

ahh, Rote=red. I was trying to make it the English word 'rote'. Makes so much more sense now.

The last two tries of German were awful, but other than that, A+, I'm so proud of you. (Actually, my flatmate knows some German, though she admits it is rusty and she hasn't used it for a few years. Let's see if I can help her git gud at it again...)

Sadly the only languages aside from English that I have any passing familiarity with are Sindarin and Dovahzul. Razz

Jewish . . . people? I understand all of the individual words you said, but when placed together in that order . . . rendeer

Nah. The only people I have met who I can actually say I hold a negative bias to are the Quebequa. Jews make for great drinking buddies, especially if you can bend the conversation to philosophy or theology. I have failed to remember many a great, deep conversation where we uncovered hidden meanings of the universe. Or not. It's mostly a whiskey obscured blur.
