Camarilla Edition on Steam in Windows 8?

Ok, so I've been able to get Bloodlines working again on the new comp that uses Windows 8. BUT when I download CE Final (and it downloads properly mind you) and I try starting up the game, after I hit "New Game" the game crashes on me saying "Vampire.exe has stopped working". Does anyone know what causes this? Maybe a link on how to install mods onto Bloodlines Steam? I also can't cancel updates for the game either, there's no option to do it. D:

Are you running Windows 10 by any chance? Try downloading the latest Unofficial Patch and use the "vampire.exe" file that comes with it. Overwrite the one that came with TFN, should be located in the \Vampire - Bloodlines\. If this fixes it, please let me know. I plan on releasing TFN 1.4 with this new vampire.exe file included.

This will work for CE as well.

My only question now is then do I download the Unofficial Patch and install it, and then install CE/TFN? Or do I install CE/TFN and then install the Unofficial Patch?

You don't install the Unofficial Patch at all, that will break both CE and TFN. However, you should "install" the UP to an empty directory (not your Bloodlines folder) so that you can copy the .exe and the required .dlls.

You just want vampire.exe, vampire.dll, and client.dll from the unofficial patches or TFN 1.4. Now that TFN 1.4 has the latest DRM-fixed files, you can use those as well.
