| When reading this I analyzed the facts provided and weighted them against cross-references I searched for or knew from reliable sources. It took me reading half of the essay to realize it was my emotional reaction to new facts (or lack thereof) that was being analyzed. Does it make me good at being a scientist, or am I developing Asperger Syndrome? | |

| I guess the former? Though you're not a good psychologists. I didn't check a single one of the sources myself. I wanted to know what the point was so I kept reading on. And I just filled all the information under "maybe true, but I don't care enough to bother checking". | |

Does it make me good at being a scientist, or am I developing Asperger Syndrome? Good news: Aspergers isn't a thing anymore. Bad news: It's now "High functioning autism" Source: DSM-V

| If they care about animals they should be happy.
If this becomes a real thing it's going to be devastating to the populations of domestic cows and pigs though. We're suddenly going to need much, much fewer of them.

I expect so too. But when lab meat will be cheaper than animal meat things are going to slowly begin to change. I expect the various fast food chains are going to quickly jump on board. And then after a while people will get used to it and then it'll be a no brainer. A few decades after that and eating animal meat is going to be viewed much like wearing fur. My father once saw a pair of city boys wondering what a farmer was doing and he told them the farmer is milking the cow. And they were shocked to find out that's where milk comes from. They used to believe that it was made in the factory and now that they knew the truth they vowed never to drink milk again. And that was back in the 60s or maybe 70s. - Feral wrote:

Nah. We'll just kill them and use them for meat and not get new ones. It'll be like when horse meat in the Netherlands suddenly got really cheap after WW2 when Polish farmers started switching from plow horses to tractors.

It'll be like when horse meat in the Netherlands suddenly got really cheap after WW2 when Polish farmers started switching from plow horses to tractors. That was the sense of my sentence. Sorry I put it in sarcastic overdrive. I meant the animals will be no more. Not too good for them... But another thought struck me: nowadays a lot of meat comes from animals grazing in worlds woodlands. It is the only sensible way to use the woodlands agriculturally, as virtually all the soil viable to be turned into cropland already was, Brazil being only major exception, but they are doing that with the cerrados as we speak. So it bears a question: where will the growth medium be sourced from? Because crops that could be used to feed/clothe people, are a poor source due to competition and cropland area is a limiting factor.

| A nice article, however 1) Anyone who has been keeping up with China news know they've been investing in green energy for a time now 2) The constant "LOOK GUYS TRUMP IS BAD" is kinda annoying. Guess the fake news media still couldn't deal with losing all the millions they donated to Hillary's campaign. 3) I for one look forward to our new xing-xang-ling overlords. Will start learning chinese this year | |

Losing monopoly for propaganda/advertisement/manipulation is bound to be painful... Not to mention losing massive income. Chinese is not that bad to speak (we have all the sounds in Polish, save for tones ), but writing

| Ni hao, our kinda orange president is already trying to get us some of the pie of the Chinese investments. I bet he's the only one. Definitely the only one almost falling off the plane. Nvm, I'm already fed up with the antiDrumpf media too. If they gave him a chance, he would destroy himself... himself. Just how can anybody still believe the media (eg. my father). *sigh*
The shift is inevitable. US is already on the highway to hell, I just don't want us to follow them blue flag high nigger dick in ass.
