Hadn't until now. I'm not very fond of how seriously games are taken in that video, not saying he doesn't necessairly have a point with some people (maybe even the majority, idk) but to me the idea that you get offended at this game's message or that you're being trained to kill with that game's mechanics etc is stupid. It's like saying soccer teaches you how to kick people in my perspective. But I digress, I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if there are people out there who need to hear what the guy is saying.

Personally I'm more interested in their Extra History videos than in their Extra Credits videos.

Honestly he spends 50% of the video making a giant fuss out of some valid points, 40% virtue-signaling using himself as his only source and then in the last 10% he says "they can affect your thinking just like any other piece of culture" which is to say a little bit for the majority of people.

I do agree that games can pass an agenda, such as "USA is the good guy" or things like that. But I think he severily overestimates how much of an impact game mechanics can cause in someone's behavior or world view.

I'm sorry to say you can't have it both ways. Either games do not make you violent or change your mind in other ways, or games do make you violent, hate indians/muslims/whatever the current enemy is and objectify women.

Agreed. While there is a bit of an individual basis caveat to it like with everything else, I don't believe most people get so affected by a game that they let it control or greatly shape their lives. Hell I don't even think most people look for a message in video games, games are by and large to have fun and turn your brain off from reality; not shape one's political views or the likes in the real world when things are serious again.
