Your Setite female skin is gorgeous! The sheer top effect is stunning. She's worth every ounce of work you put into her. So, how about having only one eye with the large make up and the opposing eye with regular make up? The Eye of Hours is only ever drawn singularly and is always depicted upon the profile in artwork, as far as I've seen. Doing this would make the reflection symmetry of the skin much less obvious and consequently lend itself to a greater sense of the asymmetry found in the human face. She would look a lot less like Alice Cooper and a lot more like Malcolm McDowell from, "A Clockwork Orange" and it would also create an incentive to look at the model from different angles. In short, having just one eye done up all huge would make her even prettier than she is already.

Your Osebo male's forearm veins look great. He's all kinds of bad ass. His dead eyes are difficult for me to accept, but are not without merit. I like them. I would like to see him in different pants from one tier to the next.

Your Assamite causes much less visual grief with dark hair. I like the revision. The symmetry of his goatee is really obvious, all the way down to the hairs.

Were you going to put veins in the faces and necks of your skins with the same subtlely and color (they got the color and texture just right) as those found on Jezebel Locke? I would be absolutely blown away if you did.

EDIT: You know Zer0morph, since I've had a second look at the Assamite's blonde hair, I'm beginning to think it looks alright; especially in the screenshot from behind which includes that killer graphic on his shirt.

I do see your point about the eye of horus makeup for the Female Setite skin, actually both the male and female skin sets have the eye of horus makeup and eliminating one side so only 1 eye has the makeup wouldn't be a problem. How does everyone else feel about this change?

I tried about 10 different eye colors for the Osebo skins (both male/female) and non of them had the look that the tzimisce_1 eyes did. The deadness, unforgivining, soulless look just really portrayed what this clan is all about. The Osebo, who aren't necessarily evil in the sense of "They know what they're doing when they do it" are more like animals who kill indiscriminately, and I thought the "deadness" of their eyes helped tell their story.

As far as the pants go, tier 1 has black ripped pants while tier 3 he's wearing jeans. Tier 4 he is wearing leather so I'm not sure what you're asking for in "different" pants.

Is the Assamite goatee a goodt thing or bad thing? I can blur the goatee so it blends in with the face more, which would also cut down on the detail as well.

I will need to review Jezebel's face to see what you mean about the veins on the face/neck. The Osebo (both male/female) skins do have subtle facial veins coming from the sides of the face but I didn't do that for all of the skins. I felt each clan should get their own trademarks such as...

Osebo - Get veins
Setites - Eye of Horus makeup/Jewelry
Assamites - Facial Scars
Baali - Pale white hair
Salubri - Third eye on their forehead
Samedi - Obviously the rotting skin
Ishtarri - Haven't decided, possibly extreme eccentric makeup

Just to name a few. I wanted each clan to have a unique feature that the other clans didn't have so I hesitate to draw facial veins on all of them. If the Osebo facial veins aren't obvious enough I can always make them a bit more obvious.

About horus' eye, I think you should have both eyes with make up, and not only one
Egyptians were all about symmetry and perfection. The Horus Eye was drawn on Horus face because he lost an eye, and therefore to be "right again" he had to remade this lost eye.
The jewel is just one eye, but the makeup represents and its point is to get closer to perfection and this divine symmetry...

Oh, makes sense. And now that you mention it, I do see the faint, blue-green of the veins near the male Osebo's ucipital mapillary. I would love to see them be a touch more vivid.

You make a fair point Claudia, but I thought being a Setite, she would place a premium on vanity and all its subtle whiles, using them to lure as many people as possible, with as little effort as possible, to their own destruction. Having that much make up on her face would limit her nubility to a narrower segment of the population, consequently limiting her influence, more than if she were to wear a little less of everything. Also, in light of what 8people said about Horus being the enemy, having just one Eye of Horus becomes a self-referential wink to her own duplicity and how much she revels in it. Yeah, we leave Assamite goatte, Osebo veins and eyes as they are. Dont blur the goetee, it is fine. On the Setite makeup, I dont really know...

I think Symmetry is better for the Sethites. They can't really go for pure vanity with this important symbol. Vanity could be with a serpent shaped cane, some jewels... But the makeup and the body should be symmetrical, as it's an important beleif to old egyptian gods (and Seth, this guy they want to bring back, is also part of this.. It's like you'd like to make Lucifer happy by not aknowledging the existance of the garden of Eden ; if you beleive in Lucifer, you beleive in the concept of god and in the story behind him..)

The eyes are just too busy with both of them being painted so. I thought the Setites weren't going for pure vanity because they don't define themselves by vanity. If I, as a newcomer, might have the right and privilege of a vote in this question, my opinion is two eyes of horus for the setite model.

Yes, it is true that vampires should value discretion, and two painted eyes of horus might draw quite a bit of attention. But, it is supposed to be in L.A after all. And in big intenational cities like L.A, there are many individuals with alternative looks and styles. Many punk and goth styles looks much more over the top than the setite model..

And, it looks cool.

Even if Set is "the bad guy to Horus", because of how egyptian work about symmetry and balance, only one eye with makeup would be "wrong", even for the "dark god". It's like satanists and christians, they both have a cross* right ? But a cross with only one arm has something "wrong" with it, to both faces of a same core beleif (god, adam, eve, christ..).

*even if the satanist cross is upside down, it's still a christian cross.


Anyway, to pure looks, either way is just fine for me and I don't really care that much about the looks of the character, but because I've worked with White Wolf, I'm trying to explain why it may be more "WoD correct" to have both eyes. Anyway, it's not like the PC has been taught a lot by his sire...

Hmmm, based purely on looks I like them both honestly, thats why I haven't fussed much about it. As far as lore n such, I really don't know enough about Egyptian culture or WoD lore to say anything useful, so I've pretty much stayed out of it.

Either way can be easily done in photoshop and since the same head is used on all 4 models then I only have to do it once for the male and once for the female.

Without a bit WoD corectness we may drift into completely different game, and that wouldn't be good. Just saying, z. o. o.

Since you asked, I've told you why I think both eyes should have make up, but if you choose one eye only, then that's awesome too ;-)

I'm just giving arguments for "both eyes with makeup", but I'm not pasionnate about this, it's just to show off my amazing knowledge and stuff XD
