i dont know if "screen resolution" is the right usage of words but i hope u'll understand.

the highest one is 1280x768 -i guess. we need higher versions like 1440x900.

textures and video quality is horrible with playin that way, i think this is an important point.

well... there is already a tool for that and every1 should use that on his
own since it changes for example 800x600 to 1600x1000 permanent or into
every other format you want...

You can find that resolution tool after you installed Wesp's patch in the Tools folder.

I can't believe I've missed that for so long!
I have wanted this game to look good (not just short and fat from being stretched) in wide screen for a long time now.

There is no link because it's part of Wesp's patch. After you've installed the patch, you can find the tool in the "Tools" folder in your vampire installation directory.
