| Well, it would look incomplete either way. And after all the changes, It's not possible to keep three of the Camarilla clans until v 1.1 gets released. So I'd say go for halloween with all seven clans. Even if some genders are missing. Imo, it's time to show real product. Else this might be considered a never ending story as Antitribu, or the revival project (How do they call themselves now?) - | |

| Mhhh, difficult decision. I would like to finally play TFN but on the other hand a complete version would be great. But I guess I'm gonna stick with Halloween, because my first character will be a Follower of Set anyway | |

| My vote goes to Christmas with all clans & genders or Halloween with the 3 unfinished clans completely locked. A missing gender.. that's too restricting for a RPG game. My thoughts, Zero, were that many fans might never update past 1.0. Many will never run another run of this game just because of a 3 new skins. 3 new clans.... that's something else. If you are okay with that.. go for Halloween. For me personally it doesn't matter that much, I just want your mod to get the attention it deserves. | |

| My vote is wait for Christmas, and have a better product.
It doesn't bother me that I won't be able to play all of the genders at first. My first pick will probably be the Assamite male, which will take me a while anyway. What bothers me is that beta testing will not be able to pick up bugs that might be specific to one gender, until after TFN v1.1 is released. It took until CE 1.4, patch 1, to fix a glitch I was having with the Nosferatu dialogue with Gary after the Fu Syndicate building... probably because Nosferatu isn't a real popular clan, and it took a while to be found.
No offense to your hard work, but you are human, and humans make mistakes. (So do vampires.) I'd feel more confident if you didn't rush to put it out by Halloween. 'Rush, rush rush' usually translates to, 'oops, we missed something.'
But ultimately it's your decision, and I'll play whatever is released, whenever it's released.

| I have an idea folks, that might actually fulfill everyone's wishes.
What if Malkav and I released TFN 1.0 in an open Beta version exclusively for TCI forum members, which would be all of you. We wouldn't advertise it or release it out into the world, it would just be for the members of this board who wanted to play it. We would release it around Halloween and all of you could track down the bugs so we could get them fixed by Christmas and release the true TFN 1.0 to the world, and promote that one.
This way those who are excited to play it by Halloween can, however this eliminates us releasing a true version prematurely. Good idea?
Oh and the Christmas Public Release would include all 14 characters.

I guess thats OK for everyone:) but if it's exclusively for TCI members, you should call this closed beta cuz open would mean its available for every person on the web if i got that right^^ (yea sry.. i am a perfectionist and i am gettin on the nerves of many..)

Oh pick pick pick, lol Seems many of you like this idea. If that's the case then maybe we could do this. It would technically be an OPEN BETA but each tester must meet these requirements before getting an invite. 1. You must be a forum member of TCI. 2. You must be a Neonate or higher in ranking. (Spammers and Trolls will be banned and their posts deleted) 3. You must not give out the location or password to the .zip file. Note: This "OPEN" Beta will not be advertised anywhere. While you guys are playing, having fun, and reporting bugs... Malkav and I will be going in to fine tune some things and fix the bugs based on your reports. At this time we can also take suggestions on improving TFN for the final release of 1.0. How does everyone feel about this idea so far?

What if I just skipped there? And the rest of the topic? My drop of blood: Go the Blizzard way. Don't release it until it is ready. But don't go Duke Nukem Forever way

Your 9 posts away from Neonate, I think you can post 9 times in the next month and a half, LOL. - Celsius wrote:

I will probably repost this with instructions how to sign up. Don't worry, I'll make it known to the members of TCI and very clear on what to do to be included... you won't be left in the dark Celsius. - Jad.3 wrote:

But don't go Duke Nukem Forever way I think we'll go the Starcraft II approach... take our time so we release a great product, but have an Open Beta session a few months before the game hits store shelves. There's no better Beta Testers than the fans of the community!

| Hmm, a beta release to those really interested, sounds good. Kind of makes me glad to have decided to sign up actually. I was a bit worried when I read the suggestions of removing the three clans all together as I personally wouldn't worry about the gender of a character as long as I can play through the clan. Gender really doesn't seem to effect much in the game anyway beyond a few seduction possibilities.
Long story short can't wait for the release, glad that it'll come out Halloween, it'll take a while to play through the game anyway and each release is bound to bring new ideas to the mix after all.
