| Hi, I'm here to ask for some more modding advice again. Here's what I want to do: I want to change both the blood cost and duration of Obfuscate. I want to raise the blood cost, and shorten the duration. I noticed that there were some .txt files somewhere in the vampire folders that appeared to be modding various disciplines (among them dominate, thaumaturgy, dementation, animalism, and presence I believe). I didn't notice Obfuscate among them. I am guessing that these are the disciplines that you specifically modded for Camarilla Edition. So I guess what I need to know is how to get those files into .txt form so I can change the numbers. I tried to read the modding guide that was in one of the folders...but quite frankly, it just left me gazing at my monitor with a blank stare and the sound of wind and crickets echoing through my head; primarily because it didn't mention the specific thing I wanted to do... but also because I'm not particularly bright to begin with Any help would be appreciated =) | |

| I think I can help you with this. First you want to open up Vampire\vdata\system\stats.txt with notepad. Scroll down until you see the following entry. "Name" "Active Obfuscate" "InternalName" "Active_Obfuscate" "Min" "0" "Max" "Obfuscate" "Default" "0" "NameMapping" "DisciplineLevel"
"Gfx_Hud" "hud/Disciplines/Obfuscate_Base" "Gfx_Hud2" "hud/Disciplines/Obfuscate_FullBright"Below that you will find where you can set the timings. It will look like this. Durations { // "Initial_1" "-1" // "Add_1" "0"
"Initial_1" "20" "Add_1" "20"
"Initial_2" "40" "Add_2" "40"
"Initial_3" "60" "Add_3" "60"
"Initial_4" "80" "Add_4" "80"
"Initial_5" "120" "Add_5" "120" }"Initial_1" = Time in seconds for starting Obfuscate in level 1. "Add_1" = Time giving in seconds for enabling more time while it's already running, for level 1. Then of course 2-5 is the same but for the higher tiers. Below that you will see this entry. Action { "Triggers" "Inc" "Value" ">0" "Stat" "BloodPool -1" }This means "If Obfuscate is activated at any level greater than 0 (1-5), remove 1 BloodPool point". If you want to raise the amount of blood needed, change -1 to -2, -3, whatever you want. Hope this helps!

You can thank me by changing that freaky ass avatar of yours, it's totally creeping me out. Is that a real girl distorted in photoshop or just a messed up looking doll? Either way, it's giving me nightmares! oh yeah, and your welcome buddy! lol

Me, too. It's the little buggers that give me the creeps - you never notice those until it's too late. And if it's too late, that's ... bad, to say the least.

| I'm arachnaphobic so I have a huge fear of spiders. This morning when I was in my bathroom putting in my contacts before work, I put the first one in and noticed a little black spider right next to my contacts case. I screamed like a little girl "YIP!!!!" and grabbed some toilet paper and smashed it.
I had to close my eyes when I smashed him because getting that close makes me shake. Pathetic I know, but it's all in the life of Zer0!

Naah, you aren't. You're arachn ophobic. If the term doesn't change when translated into English, which I don't think is the case. But hey, at least you can smash them, I always have to get a vacuum-cleaner ... and then leave the room for a good few hours. Oh my god they're coming to get me they'll eat me alive they'll put me in a friggin' cocoon and I'll suffocate ... for sure isn't pretty. And so ... cliché. *pat* You're not alone, though.

| Lyle Kersten's a huge arachnophobic.. (at least the player is ^^ and the guy's a psychologist, so he knows fears, and he can't avoid it)
I'm not, I don't care, I saw (and ate) almost everything you could imagine back when I lived in Mexico City, so...

I'm not, I don't care, I saw (and ate) almost everything you could imagine back when I lived in Mexico City, so... So you are Bear Gryls in fact? Seriosly, spiders? My Grandma hates them... I end up catching them and getting them out. They don't bite unless provoked or cornered. Tried and tested, I often carry them out simply in my hand. To kill a spider... Baaad... They are part of Nature, they have their place. If not for them, we would get eaten by flies, mosqitos, wasps, etc. Or at least bitten much more often. And, last but not least, they are beautifull. Have you ever watched patterns on them? Each is different, like snowflakes. It's human nature to want to destroy what you don't understand, but, well, little effort on yout part could show you whole new worlds to explore without fear. But learn first, some are poisonous. Few in Europe, but in the States, I don't know.

| You think spiders are beautiful? Are you insane? They are 8 legs of creepiness that repel in mid air on to your face! AHHHH!!! Just thinking about them gives me the chills. Did you see the spider scene in “Return of the King?” (Lord of the Rings). OMG, burn out my eyes! Poisonous spiders do exist in the States, mostly Black Widows and Brown Recluse. The Widows live mostly in the southern United States because they like the warm weather, where as the Recluse lives all over the place, mostly dark, quiet, and undisturbed places. | |

| Hey, between spiders and mosquitos, I'd rather have spiders ! They catch and eat a bunch of parazyte bugs and stuff \o/
Anyway if I see one, I catch it and let it go through the windows because my fiancé is deadly arachnophobic (but he's not afraid of scorpions, which is strange). I got bit a couple of times back in my grand parents house in rural southern France, but it was like a big mosquito bite. In urban areas, there are not really poisoneous spiders (or anything else) that I know of ^^
