| Hello all,
I have a problem with auto-run not working on a fresh install of the Camarilla mod. The run/walk toggle and pause work fine but ALT doesn't seem to do anything.
Is there are command or file I can modify to rebind it or fix it? I'm reasonably familiar with console and configs at this stage. Just need someway to map it (or verify existing mapping) as I know you can't in the GUI.
I notice in my keyboard options I have some unusual entries available for mapping. Like 6, F, ? and >. Not sure if that is normal or a side effect of my problem. I mapped these to ALT for good measure but they don't seem to be it.

| Did you try to bind something to the Alt key or make any changes to the auto-run key in the game? If so, you will want to hit "Default" and set everything back to the original keybindings. Exit the game, then come back and remap everything but this time don't map anything to the Alt key or try to change those settings. That should take care of it. | |

| Or, if you don't like autowalk on ALT, you can bind it to another key in autoexec.cfg. But make sure it's a key you don't use for something else. - | |

Nice aren't they? I still don't know how they made that. The male Malk 4 model has a jiggle hat... I'd like to learn more about 3D modeling.

| In autoexec.cfg, these are the lines you're looking for: For the toggle walk/run: alias run "-speed;bind SHIFT walk" alias walk "+speed;bind SHIFT run" bind SHIFT walk For the autowalk: alias go "+forward;bind ENTER stop" alias stop "-forward;bind ENTER go" bind ENTER go This is from my personal setup, with autowalk bound to ENTER instead of the standard ALT. Be careful with that. the basic setup binds attack to ENTER. Both functions are not part of the original game. so you can't bind them to a key using the ingame options menue. And if you bind something else to this key, using the options menu, it will not unbind these two functions. And if you want to have more to jiggle on the latex Toreador, you can use the famous "money" cheat. But better don't use more than 1.2. That's already 20% more to - | |

| My friend found the money cheat, I had gone to get us drinks and just heard shouting "SOMETHING IS WRONG! SOMETHING IS WRONG!" The fool had entered about 5000 so the result was highly distorted artifacts all over the screen. Best part? he refused to acknowledge he had cheated and claimed "It had just done it itself! Honestly! I was just walking along!" I opened the console to check if anything had popped up there and there was the code sitting pretty He was playing a malk chick and I never let him forget it. He was a good sport at least, in a pnp game a while later his malk ended up seeing breasts everywhere for a scene when he was supposed to be serious with the Prince | |

| Different friend! Luckily most the people I hang out with now seem to be more intelligent! Miss some of my old friends but moving over a city and not having calls and emails returned just means you drift apart. | |

Does England have States? or Counties? Like in America? I can't imagine moving to a different city would be a big deal, but moving to a different state would be. Then again, I'm not sure how England is setup. Europe, especially England is such a mystery to me... I'd love to visit there some day. My ancestors are from Germany however so I'd like to visit there as well.

| All countries I visited so far in europe, I am from germany by the way, got states like you got in the USA. I do not know what the diffrences are exactly for all other eurpean countries though. Germany for example consists of 16 states. In earlier times before Napoleon we had about 50 I think often barely any bigger than a large modern town like NY. Napoleon got pissed of that and merged a lot of them together after he conquered "germany" albeit there was no real german nation back then. In germany it's like this, all 16 states have their own regulation for voting for regional politics stuffs, school and police but state law always gets superceded by national law in case a conflict arises. For example I come from the state of Hessen and our constitution has the death penalty in still but since the death penalty is prohibited by national law it gets superceeded and therefore no judge can apply the death penalty regardless how henous the crime is. P.S.: I am against the death penalty in general. | |

| Germany is a federal government, so it's very close to how the US work Europe in general is not a country, we have some things in commun (MONEY MONEY MONEY !), but languages are different, laws are different (from "quite close", like it's forbidden to kill someone, to very different -in holland there are shops where you can buy and smoke cannabis, it's legal and it's taxed-). The thing is that when you do not notice crossing the countries if you're driving, because the borders are not huge stupid useless fences So when you take a train from Paris to Bruxelles, or to Madrid, there are no controls. Any european can live wherever he wants in the Schengen zone. So if I want to study in a Spanish university, I get my butt over there, I show my ID, I sign, then I can attend courses and pass the exams. This can be even facilitated by the Erasmus program (which finds housing for foreign european students, and their grades are a bit different and sent back to their universities at home). I once drove from Lille (northern France) to Holland, and I didn't notice we crossed all Belgium (we forgot a turn right somewhere, we were going to Maastricht in Germany). We noticed when we heard Flammish everywhere XD | |

| Poland is not a federal country, neither is England. Denmark, Sweden, Romania, Bulgaria: same story. In Poland there is middle level of governance, the voievodeship. But its not a country or state. It's a province. With provincian pairlament (sejmik wojewodzki) which means nothing. Whatewer is in the books, law in action is that government in Varsaw decides on every matter. There was a big project of giving more autonomy to the regions, but it ended with creating workplaces for nephews. As everything here... So, Poland is a centralised, in a good Soviet style. | |

You, too? Hey, I have a fellow Hesse! Guude! Still, I think the 'States' of Germany are really different from what States are considered to be in the US. Like previously said, the laws of the states are overruled by the national laws, but nobody I've ever met would even consider the 'law books' of the states. Death penalty in Hessen is merely good for making bad, bad jokes about it, but nobody would try to change this. For example, there's also no difference considering (car) driver's licenses; it's not like you can 'simply' change the state and then start driving at 15 years or whatever. It's 18 years for everybody for driving alone, 17 for driving with a registered driver's license owner. (Although Bayern is, as I overheard somewhere, at the very least tempted to split from Germany to form a new country... ha! I'd really like to see that. What a stupid idea.) If I'm already at Bayern, the only major difference you'll notice in everyday life (if you're not a student, at least, because of the school system that may differ a bit from state to state) is the dialects. And believe me, if you know standard German, you'll notice it. It's not that bad nowadays, but if you talk to old people, you can quite literally hear how German is made up of not only dialects, but something that resembles wholly different languages. Fascinating, but sometimes prone to cause misunderstandings.

| Well, Germany is a federal republic. But the Bundeslaender, as they are called, have less rights of their own than the states in the US. And while you can work and study everywhere in Europe, it doesn't mean that academic grades are accepted as well. A friend of mine married to France, and her german magister grade in romanistic languages isn't worth anything there. Eliza, Sykar: Erbarmen die Hesse kommen Well, the Bavarians can go, if they want. There is always the joke of rebuilding the Wall, so that it cuts off Bayern and Sachsen. Claudia, I'll be one of them. - | |
