| Carrion doesn't seem fussed that Celine has ignored her, instead she keeps looking at Griffin. When Griffin confirms she may approach him she does so, there's a slight hesitation about it but whatever the qualms she was experiencing were pushed to one side.
Carrion takes her ease at a comfortable distance from him, it's hard to tell how his expression is effecting her but she doesn't seem deterred now that she is in his company. She returns the nod with one of her own before lapsing into silence once more, it lasts for a long moment as she seems to examine the others in the room.
...Igor says I should be more sociable...I'm not great at that kind of thing though. I know we haven't spoken much I'd like that to change...
She seems to be flitting between watching Griffin and the room as she speaks, she doesn't bother with the breathing or even moving once she's finished speaking. She seems quite comfortable to just be there and observe everyone else; it looks like she has spent a lot of her time doing that.

| William shrugged lightheartedly. "Other then the fact that I can't seem to walk 10 meters without meeting someone important, Bordeaux is quite chill if you can manage to dodge the politics, at least for a short while. There's also a lot more breathing space then Brussels, I like it. Well... there is the matter of the animosity the Brujah seem to have towards our clan here, but then again, feels like home, it didn't differ much there either." | |

| Jean-Pierre stays silent and listens, observing as well the other people in the Deambulatoire. He smiles briefly at her words concerning Igor, before letting some few seconds of silence fill their conversation. He then speaks a few words full of a certain cynism, and as well a certain insight and knowledge of the Nosferatu. (Jean-Pierre) Igor speaks his optimism a little too often and too out loud. He believes in the Smurf in every one of us.
With a pause and after haven taking a quick look at her, he acknowledges the "change" she wants. He displays a certain honesty in his questionning, as he wasn't teasing, even if the words could be a tease. (Jean-Pierre) Why do you want it to be different ? Are you blue ?

| Carrion isn't perturbed by the silence. In fact she seems more comfortable with being quiet than actually speaking with him. However if someone were to take observe her she seems to be that way with most kindred, more so with those outside her clan. She waits until he is finished speaking before replying, her voice quirking up slightly in amusement, she decides to not comment on Igor though and move on to his questions instead.
I'm more of a grey-ish green than blue.
She takes another moment to collect her thoughts to answer his first question. She seems to be taking it more seriously than his second one, her eyes wander the room never staying in one place for too long and occasionally she spares him a side long glance.
Because change is good? And stagnating is bad.
Does my motivation matter? Do you think I have some kind of master plan or something?
When she asks her questions she meets his eye, genuinely curious at what he will say next.

| Miriel remains rather impartial in the conversation, but smiles agreeably to Lyle's comments, Ah, "Brat" fits.
She glances to William, wearing that same smile as he shares a bit about his experiences so far. She nods knowingly to his mention about constant encounters with noteworthy Kindred. When it's her turn to talk, she expresses a conservative, though optimistic opinion, Can't say I'm doing too badly myself, regarding this "openness."
She stretches and leans back comfortably in her seat, crossing her arms again, Gosh, I sure hope it has nothing to do with Toreador bias, she smirks wryly. I'd like to think everyone I've met likes me for me, her shoulders rise and fall in a shrug, but it's hard to tell whether someone likes what you're saying, or just likes the way you're saying it... It's difficult to tell whether she's being sarcastic about largely being considered animated scenery, or about the typical Toreador's inflated self-esteem. Perhaps both.

| William nods at Miriel's comment about her position. "Toreador are..." His facial expression shows deep thought as he strokes his chin. "If you ever played the videogame Mass Effect, Toreador are like the Asari of the Kindred world. Easy to like, hard to ignore, and your embracing habits sure make the majority of you very pleasing to the eye. Of course, you're not blue and a female only species, but meh... details."
William considered the aspect for a moment. "In fact, if you were physic as well, I'd almost consider that a Kindred was involved writing the lore of that game" He glanced at Lyle.

| Griffin doesn't even blink, listening with one hear the responses the Nosferatu gives him. He gives her a quick glance when she states her colors, as if he wanted to check (or maybe it's just a reflex). He doesn't wait to answer to her, showing a certain swiftness of the mind. (Jean-Pierre) Stagnation and tradition are the core values of our society. Change brings chaos, instability, through risks and dangers. Your motives, your wishes, young woman, are the most important to know and understand ; seeing if your expectations about this change are worth the risks you are taking. Are they ?
The Harpy is just being rhetorical about the subject. He meets her eyes as well a moment, unblinking and staring.
Lyle gives Miriel a nod as she states she's doing well in the melting pot. He can't help an open smile as William debates on the status of the Toreador Clan, and the interested's vision of her own clan and acceptance. (Lyle) No one ever likes anyone for who they are. Especially kindred, who cannot admit, accept nor show what they are. If they even realize what they are, but that's another subject, isn't it ? And as far as I know, while many kindred are involved in creative processes in all arts, I never heard of one in the Mass Effect games. It's far too dramatic and awareness-raising to have a kindred behind it. I'd watch out for our enemies.
He pauses an instant, then openly smiles to Miriel. (Lyle) Lemmings. While William's view of your clan is poetic, I must say my first thoughts about the Toreador would be "lemmings". He shrugs, unapologetic. I tend to disregard one's clan when appreciating someone's presence. I only take it into account when certain loyalties or competences are at stake. Your clan or mine has about as much importance as the color of my eyes or the length of my hair.
The Regent crosses his fingers together, then gives a look to William. He speaks with a certain tease and lightness of tone, exaggerating and probably lying about it. (Lyle) I'm afraid your sire overestimates my implications in game industries. Sorry to disappoint you, I'm no more than just another regular and normal player.

| Carrion can't hide the small smile when she catches him glancing at her checking her colour. She holds out her arm quickly with the sleeve pulled slightly back to save him looking at her legs. To someone unable to see past the Obfuscate it just looks like a normal pale arm. When his inspection is finished she pulls the sleeve back down once more. Her smile fades slightly when she looks at her inner arm.- Auspex 3 & Looking at Carrion:
If one were to look beyond her Obfuscate they wouldn't actually be able to see exactly what she looks like, she's covered from head to toe (with exception of her calves) She is actually wearing her hood up (Although her Obfuscate shows otherwise) and appears much thinner than her Obfuscate shows; there is no muscle or fat on her. She is wearing the same clothes but they are much baggier. When she exposes her arm the colour is exactly as described but also has a small patch scales. When she turns her wrist to pull the sleeve back down it exposes the mottled scars on her inner arm. It's unclear if they extend to her wrist and palm because her leather glove hides the skin. - Perception + Intelligence >3:
She assumed he could see through the Obfuscate if he wanted to. She takes in his words carefully, she doesn't respond as quickly as he did, choosing instead takes a moment to consider her words but she doesn't look away from him as she does this. The world changes even if we don't want it to... My clan embraces useful change. I believe your Primogen also does this...Risk and danger can be calculated to an extent... She shrugs slightly before continuing; this pause was longer than the last one. This time she speaks far more quickly than the last time, it sounds almost painful for her at some points her mouth can't keep up and the words stick together. I'm not interested in the Occult, soIwon't hound you like Igor does if that was aworry and he knows better than togetme to ask in his place... Now she looks away from him again her eyes roam the room but it's obvious she isn't really taking in what she's seeing. An awkward laugh passes from her lips. Her speech slows down but it's still not at ease. Her hands seem to be fiddling once more with the toggles on her clothes. What I want is a friend of my own choosing, one who understands that I prefer silent company at times and doesn't insist on filling it with pointless gossiping or small talk. As for my expectations, experience has taught me walking into situations with expectations to be futile, we hardly ever get what we want in life...But to answer your question yes it is worth the risk. - Perception +Alertness >4:
Throughout her speaking her posture has been tense, as though it has been a long time since she has communicated with strangers. Now that it is over and she is silent once more she is fractionally more at ease.

| The Harpy smirks as he hears the Nosferatu's response. He observes a brief instant the shown arm, but doesn't stare too long. (Jean-Pierre) That race for change turned you into what you are now. Tell me, was that gain worth the price ? Do tell me, has the change been good to you ? Surely Lyle Kersten appreciates change, maybe a little too much, but he does not force his clan nor other kindred to change with him.
He does not break eye contact with her as he says so, unblinking, with a deep stare. He smiles a brief instant at the mention of Igor. (Jean-Pierre) Igor's curiosity gets the best of him. His annoyances have become regular gimmicks, I disregard them now. He is not the kind to give up, to learn his place, there is no use in putting him down. He doesn't need anyone to humiliate himself.
One could think he has some compassion for Igor, but Igor himself never seemed to care about what others thought of him, probably not even feeling the humiliation the harpy speaks about. Griffin goes on, looking away from the Nosferatu to observe once more the room as she does. He speaks with a lower voice, a little softer but oddly incisive. (Jean-Pierre) You shouldn't be looking for friends here. Nor company nor understanding. None of the persons here would be in position to accept and understand you. Worthless leeches, who have only eyes for themselves, who have no empathy whatsoever, and whose only goal is to gather more power, influences and knowledge to strike down their rivals in this endless deadly game. You, more than anyone else, should be aware of this. And yet you came, and you are speaking about it to me, a harpy and a Tremere on top of it. Hm ?
He does raise a question ; why him? On the paper he should be the exact opposite of what the Nosferatu is looking for. He does not disregard nor put in doubt her intentions, but he urges her to question her choices without saying she is wrong.

| Carrion can't help but smirk slightly at the question her finger tracing idle patterns on her now covered inner arm. She doesn't hesitate in answering him. I would not change it if I could...my mortal life was by no means perfect. It opened doors and closed others like all things in life. If I really wanted to I could catch a sunrise...the fact that I am still here should tell you all you need to know on that score. - Perception + Alertness >3:
She is beginning to find her ease in the conversation now, she isn't hesitating or fumbling with her words as often as before; but she certainly isn't completely relaxed her posture is still stiff. They have spent some time talking but what exactly has helped put her at ease isn't readily apparent. She allows his words on Lyle to pass without comment.Ahh yes, propriety, by that logic I should skulking in a sewer, how archaic. She seems to find some amusement in his words, as she speaks the corner of her lip pulls up into a sharp and obvious smirk when propriety enters the conversation but she sobers when Igor is brought up again. But is it humiliation when he either doesn't know or care? When his voice lowers once more she looks at him again; watching him closely. You and I have very different views on what the term friend means...Ah, the Jyhad, that only works when you have something someone wants, and I have nothing that would attract attention. I think you over look your own merits, you are a Gentleman; not many would warn me of the possibility of themselves dicking me over at some point. I admire that in you. Tremere, Nosferatu, Toreador? What does it matter? We're all equally fucked in the end.

| Miriel listens to William as he likens her clan to the Asari with a wavering smirk. She openly chuckles, though, after having tried at keeping a straight face when Lyle says, "poetic," looking to William apologetically as Lyle says what he does about the topics at hand, I'm heartened to hear your assessment, especially considering your implied—affinity?—for blue boobies. It's sweet. She looks to Lyle next, smiling anew, I hope you're trying to imply that the whole of clan Toreador is brown and fuzzy, because if you're alleging something about suicidal mammalian group-think, then you've bought into a fantastic Disneyland lie hook, line and sinker. Glad to hear your honesty and that you're rather accepting, this heartens me as much as it also worries me. She gives him a wink and appreciative nod.
She chuckles openly once more to catch Lyle crossing his fingers before giving William the official statement about he and the gaming world, shaking her head.

| William let's out a chuckle. "Never once did I imply my Sire thinks that highly of you that you'd be THAT well connected, I merely was thinking that IF a kindred would be involved, he'd be a type similar to you, sans the regent of Bordeaux thing of course. She did try to track you down once to challenge you for a duel in Wow tho. She never did tell me if she managed to find you, so I presume you kicked her ass without even knowing. Ahh the internet." He turned towards Miriel. "And what can I say? I'm a geek in heart and sou- well if I had a soul, it would be in there as well. Blue boobies, 3 boobies, oh well. That does not imply I like what the Tzmische are doing tho. That's just nasteh."
The neonate glanced towards Carrion and Jean-Pierre. "Them I haven't seen before. Let me guess, a Tremere and... humn, Grangel or Brujah? With the hoodie and all. Is that Griffin?"

| Miriel glances between the two Tremere, wearing a smile left over from her previous peel of laughter. It would sound like there's a healthy amount of rivalry among the Tremere, even in cyberspace, but she has nothing to contribute to that topic, shaking her head again. Her reserved body language does nothing to conceal her amusement, as she is now grinning.
William revisits their slice of the conversation, Ah. Geeks, with or without souls, welcomed here. She pats where her heart should be with faux sentimentality, nodding and pouting in reassurance to the geek. When she's done with her little play, she returns to semi-seriousness, Yeah, I've heard conflicting opinions about the Tzimisce, none of which I'm keen to verify. She shrugs, turning to where William indicates, Yup, that'd be Griffin and Carrion, a Nosferatu.

| The Harpy lets hear a "hm" of amusement as he hears about Carrion's old life. (Jean-Pierre) It is a viable answer, I will take that as suck. Propriety ? Oh, no, not at all. After all, shouldn't I be reading occult books and speaking latin, according to that logic ?
He smirks, gives a quick look to the Nosferatu, and another look towards Miriel, William and Lyle. (Jean-Pierre) His uncaring and stubborness are the main reasons why I don't even bother with Igor anymore.
He shakes his head in denial, slowly. He sounds a little deeper and more serious, but also more truthful. He stares right into her eyes (or to her directly if she looks away) as he speaks. (Jean-Pierre) Gentleman, hmf. You do not know what that word means, you shouldn't use it. Not "having" anything doesn't mean they- we cannot take anything from you. I am merely putting into practice those facts, not warning you. What if I was getting on your good side, to manipulate you into doing my bidding ?
He looks away an instant. (Jean-Pierre) We're all dead. I am just a little more aware of it.
Lyle chuckles at Miriel's understanding of the lemmings. He nods, agreeing to her words. (Lyle) So numerous, so identical and so replaceable. And William, you'd be wrong, but I've got too much responsibilities to stick my hands fully into those markets. As for others involved.. He lets them think he knows a thing or two but doesn't comment further. I won't say anything about skin colors of number of tits, that's one thing you can avoid when you have power like me ! Obviously exagerating and dramatic about it. And your sire, well, I don't do PvP much, I find it under-rated and boring. At least regular PvP. Good IAs are always a better challenge.
He doesn't turn to see who they are speaking about, leaving them discuss the Griffin/Carrion matter.

| Carrion grins when Griffin speaks of him reading occult books and speaking Latin.
This is very true.
She seems content to let that topic go. From the corner of her eye she catches his glance but at that moment she is unusually focused on William. With a small sigh she turns her full attention back to Griffin once more
But you do with me? He's probably better person than I am...
Carrion doesn't break the eye contact, instead she shifts slightly to face him more fully. In a genuinely curious voice she replies:
But for yourself it would be, no offence, highly out of character to act that way. Don't get me wrong you are more eloquent than I can ever hope to be but at the end of it all, pretty words won't hide what actions you wish me to do I would have to want to do them wouldn't I?
She seems to be treating this a bit like a lesson, although its probably not intentional. She pauses for a moment before replying to his last comment.
Isn't knowing something the first step in fixing it?

| Lyle's response draws a gasp from Miri. She pouts at first, but then smiles incredulously to him, as if she can't believe what he just said to her about the Clan of the Rose. Despite the shock, she chuckles, seemingly with amusement over the blunt cruelty of what he implies. She bites her lip and waits until he finishes addressing William about games and tits before revisiting the topic, nodding as she relents and verifies points of his assessment despite herself, We do breed like rabbits, that certainly fits your "tiny mammals" theme. She smiles wryly, a soft crease of a dimple gracing the spaces just below the apples of her cheeks, I was just telling Duncan the other day that you can't throw a rock in France without hitting a Toreador. Tsk.
She sees William has taken interest in Carrion, and can't resist twisting his words a little, You dyin' for a poke, are ya? She smiles to show she's just teasing, But really, whether you want to touch involves asking her quite nicely, and then taking her at her deciding word. You... don't want to upset that kind.

He turned back towards the table. "...if that is Griffin, I'll think I'll wait till she's alone."
He crossed his arms and his face betrayed a small hint of a pout.

She stands and gives a look to Lyle, Best to be direct, hm? You let me know when you can use that hug, I gotta go play chaperone and get these kids introduced. She pats her chest where she stands, and takes a cigarette from her jacket pocket while she waits for responses, or William to get up, or both.

| Lyle raises an eyebrow of mild surprise when the comparaison to the little mammals is put on the table, he smiles in agreement. (Lyle) Statisticly speaking, you're not too far off. In Metropolitarian France, about half of the kindred declared and recognized by the Camarilla are indeed of the Toreador Clan. Now add in Corsega which is full of god-knows-what, Nice which is known Giovanni territory, Marseille which's turning Anarch... And all non-declared kindred living in Paris and its suburbs. Of course with our peculiar laws, and Villon's willingness to centralize his power and extend his dominion on the entire country, of course having such a reputation is good for his politics.
He finally gives a look above his shoulder, to observe Jean-Pierre and Carrion a brief instant, then turns back to the other two. He confirms William's thoughts in a very cheerily tone. (Lyle) Yep. That's Jean-Pierre. What's the worst that could happen ? He could tell you to fuck off (probably in a much more harpiesque way than that), but you have no reputation to lose. Eventually he could humiliate you openly and you'd become the new jester of the Elysium for some time.. A couple of decades or so. You could ask Mr. Delacour, he handles it quite well.
His smile widens before he shrugs, inviting them to go. (Lyle) If he didn't want to talk to anyone, he'd be in the chantry, reading, and not talking to a younger Nosferatu. Have fun.
Griffin can't help a smirk at Carrion's confirmation of the regular speaking Latin and acting like a proper Tremere. He lets go the subject but goes on with the others. (Jean-Pierre) Surely I could make you do things you would never do by yourself, it all depends on the light we use to present it, and what would one gain in exchange. And Kindred are especially good at this game we call Manipulation. It is, indeed, all in the words chosen to give the task. A better person, hm. It depends on what one values and one disregards, as qualities and flaws to consider. We are all in different shades of grey.
He pulls slightly one of his sleeves, both the jacket and the shirt, to show part of his forearm to Carrion, just as she did earlier. Like his face or hands, it's undead-white, he probably didn't mean to "show" anything, but to refer to her earlier gesture, and of course, meaning by the grey that "nothing is black and white". He pulls it back down, as he notices Lyle giving him a look, and seemingly understanding they have drawn interest. (Jean-Pierre) I could tell you of a few examples, but it seems they may come to us by themselves.

| Carrion lip curls upward slightly, and her hand runs along the back of her shaved head as she realised that didn't quite come out the way she intended it to. She also seems relived that he hasn't taken the careless words the wrong way, and also decided to leave it at that.If they're truly terrible things though, and it goes against someone's nature do you still have confidence that you could persuade them? I mean there's only so many light bulb changes you can make before someone realises surely. When he comments on values her question comes almost tentatively, she sounds a bit nervous of the answer he will give.Which ones do you consider? Carrion's eyes dip down to observe the motion, she's quite transfixed by it but she does take in his meaning from returning the gesture. When his sleeve come back down she meets his eye once more. - Perception + Alertness >4:
Her fingers clenched for a moment, restraining herself from touching him.
...I gathered, William has been staring at me on and off for some time now...I'd rather hear your examples if I'm being honest. She doesn't seem at all keen on the idea of having drawn attention to them, nor in the prospect of a social interaction; subconsciously she's moved herself fractionally closer to Griffin.

| Rufus emerges from the wall, certainly startling anyone nearby - even those who are somewhat used to his typical sort of entrance. His dull red eyes sweep the room and, upon seeing a familiar face, makes his way toward William.
"Ah, there you are. I was looking for you. I was hoping you might be interested in another flight around the city. I've recently discovered a wonderful route that provides for a most exceptional view of the city."

| "Lyle you're not helping. Just saying, cause you know... You're not helping. At all." Raising from his chair to follow Miriel, he is interrupted when Rufus walks up to him. "Roofy, what boredom brings you to actually socialize?"
As the giant explained his presence, a smile crept on Williams face. "Brilliant, I have been preparing for that!" As he finished his sentence, he took out a a pair of plastic glasses. They were the kind whom were made for people to use during active sports so that they wouldn't fall from your face. they were attached with an elastic cord and the frame itself was bendable to fit the visage of the user. "Custom made, enforced plastic and enough style to make even you look cool. You still owe me for 1 and a half pair of glasses tho, they were a little less replaceable then I imagined since the only Tremere I know who can make them water free is living in Brussels."

| Miriel raises a brow, lighting her cigarette; it bounces slightly with each syllable she speaks, Judging by the way he's barely concealing that naughty boy grin, I wouldn't be surprised if he'd drop you into the Garonne for a laugh during this "marvelous tour." It's finally well lit, she takes a drag and then holds the cig in-hand, sending a playful wink Rufus' way. | |

| The Gargoyle briefly examines the glasses in William's hand, then nods with a grave sense of remorse about him.
"Yes, Master Wolvenheart, I do regret that happened. It was a playful jest on my part. I did not intend for you to lose your spectacles, nor did I ever expect you to scream at such a high pitch. Had I been more prepared for that, my ears might not have been ringing for the rest of the evening. And as for the other spectacles I broke, well, in my defense, you did provoke the Beast within me. Though, I am more concerned about the repair needed for the wall I had slammed you against. But again, I do apologize Master."
Rufus shoots a very quick glance at Miriel, but his expression is rather blank, almost as if just a nervous tic some people get to suddenly glance over their shoulder at nothing. He promptly returns his attention to William.
"But any time you'd like to view Bordeaux from the air, I will gladly take you. And no, lady - De Boucher, was it? - I would never drop my Master Wolvenheart. Not intentionally, leastwise. Those infernal flying contraptions of the mortals do sneak up on me at times, though, and if caught unawares, accidents have been known to happen."
At this point, the Gargoyle does seem to be smiling slightly.
