(standart steam version +7.6 unoficial patch) script error at the ends of Giovani mension

This is probably not the good place for this post. But aniways, probably the best to get answer.
And sorry for my bad english .

Let me explain

first, i have a steam edition of vampire bloodlines (i'll know that's not an excuse ^^').

i'm stuck on the Giovani mension.
Just killed the brothers (claw and blade), the game tell me that's the mission is completed (all is ok on the quest menu) and, and...
Nothing happend.
I'll try to find where i'll must go (but it's seemed that the game must bring me to Mr lacroix automaticaly to achieve this quest).


first time, i did the game with standart version from steam.
An other time with the 7.6 (somthing like that) unoficial patch.
i'll kill the brothers many time (expect there is jst a little bug). Nothing better.
last try, see some tricks for an other mission script error. use console with changelevel2 LA_hub_1 taxy_landmark

But that's not good because this mission expect that you must be immédiately transported on the room where Mr LAcroix is.
So the guard won't let me up to see him.

I'll try to go back with other save games and with differents versions.

The only thing i'll dont try is to restart all the game / If my savegame have the error (but at this point of the game .

Maybe, if there is a command line to bring me to mr lacroix ( with command like changelevel2 and the right map).

Have you gone into the room the brothers were guarding? This should trigger a cut scene of you loading the sarcophagus into a moving truck, then you start the next dialogue scene with LaCroix. At least that's how I remember it, been a long time since I got that far without getting bored and starting a new game.

i'll just try it again. Kill the two brothers and walk everywhere i can ;
try "use" button on sercophagus.

I believe in the latest patches you actually have to go down into the big round room (after the two brothers are dead, of course) and click on the sarcophagus itself. This should trigger the cutscene where you take the sarcophagus to LaCroix.

To be sure i killed an other time the two brothers (it's seemed they like to die ^^')

No, really nothing happend in this room.
I walk everywhere, click on everything (sercophagus, torch, statues).
wit action button, with fire button...

I finaly get it work.

Must go back to the original steam version.

Seek for a working savegame (some are incompatibles). Finaly i start in giovani Mansion.
Do all an other time, killed the brothers and ;

Yes, that's finaley work ^^

After that, save the game in two savegame (in case of playing with the patch corrupt the savegame).
réapply patch.
Test...

Done ^^

The first time i do that, nothing happend.
But maybe i don't go back far enough.

I'm glad this worked for you, although I cringed when you talked about using old saved games with a new installation. That can cause all sorts of problems. But I hope you fixed everything.

Just for another POV, I just got through that section for the first time since installing the mod and had no problems at all- went down the stairs after killing the Changs, clicked on the coffin and was whisked away to the cutscene of loading it into the truck. Perfectly normal. Apparently an issue with the files on your end and something glitching then, and not the mod itself?

Just so it didn't start someone checking the codes thinking there was a glitch in the lates download or something- worked perfect when I had to do it.
