| Seems like Z.o.o and I are hitting it off ...I'd say more like razor wire + women's panties.. Yes my snakebites are supreme. Seriously thinking over getting angelbites to match them. <3'z and thx for the welcomingz! As for the mod, I did dabble a little bit with it at friends, I dont own the game though. I liked it alot. I thought the faction music was a great touch. Espcially Yangs. Only complaint was the lack of unit builder, but it is a fantastic mod and makes that one minor setback hard to hold against it. | |

| A very warm welcome to all of you, who have come aboard since I had to take my month hiatus away from the boards to move south. Welcome! | |

| I suppose I should introduce myself now that I've been around this long. (Sorry about the size, biggest pic I have...I think. Not so good with resizing and all that.) *friendly wave to everyone* I'm David from Ohio, US. Orthodox Christian loosely affiliated with Baptists. Currently studying at college with a major in History, and part of the Army ROTC program. Hoping to become a full-fledged officer in two years. I'm 21 and enjoying life here on campus. Saw VtM:B sometime before I enlisted and was one of the first things I bought after I finished Basic Training. Ran into the clunky original before learning about the Official Patch, then Wesp's Unofficial Patch, and not long after that I managed to delve into the PnP version (though all the games I'm involved in are online). | |

| Good to see you Simison, many thanks for your plans on serving! Remember when you become an officer, these simple truths! You'll win the hearts of your men, by being an example that they are both willing and want to follow. You'll have the exact opposite effect, if your an over-bearing arse who is only concerned for his own well being and advancement. If your men love you and respect you, as a good leader looking out for them, as opposed to them just fearing you...they will often do things unheard of for you and many times even surprise you.

| Welcome Simison!
Ya know I live in Indianapolis (Indiana) so we're neighbors. Ahh the days of basic training, I completed my training back in 2002 at Ft. Benning for the Army, good times, well not really. First thing I did when I got home was play VTM: Redemption (Bloodlines wasn't out yet).
Welcome aboard and goodluck with ROTC!

| Thanks for the advice. Right now, I'm Squad leader and trying to stick to that command style. Going well, but not too much going on right now. I'm still concerned that my future assignment (wherever that is) is going to get one really strange officer.
Did you serve as well, Maximus?
If you don't mind me asking, Zer0, what was your MOS? Were you infantry?

| I was a 31u, Signal Support Systems Specialist. I setup and ran communications for my company of infantry guys. I would train and teach the infantry guys how to use radio comm. I don't even think the 31u MOS is even around anymore though, last time I talked to my old comm guys. | |

| Neat job. Can't say for certain if that particular MOS is still running though. Didn't run into too many of them while I was in the Reserves. | |

| No simison, I was never in the service, though I wished that I had, my folks were very heavy anti-military types. Wasn't until later in life, that I learned the value of and the respect of the military and those that served. That applies to men and women that serve their county outside of America as well, it is a difficult, sometimes thankless job, that all too few are willing to commit to doing. I have run several businesses over my life though, and while not the same thing, similar things apply to dealing with people. When I was younger, about your age, and starting up my first business ( building commercial swimming pools ), I thought the best way to get things done was by hammering my men, to try and increase their productivity. It didn't take me too long to realize, that all I was doing was fostering animosity towards myself and getting little in return in the ways of productivity...if anything the reverse was true. I remember this saying, however, I don't remember where from...for all I know it could be some darn cheesy movie LOL. "Remember those men that you've been riding, we'll your life just may be riding on those very same men, and their actions. How do you wish them to think of you, when that combat situation arises and your in a foxhole with them?" That's paraphrased of course, and probably not entirely accurate word, for word...just from my memory Best of luck to you, wherever you may end up being sent or posted! | |

| Pleasure to meet you Scarecrow.
And it's still another couple of years before I commission, so I have time to work on it and prevent the Army from inheriting a headache of an officer.

| Welcomez Sim and Scarecrow!
About my back, This was about four years ago, I had joined up with the national guard for college money and a 20,000 bonus. I was suppoedly going to be a 92Y. I fell out of a tower on an obstacle course, funny enough, I was dicking around and telling one of my friends he wasn't going to make it. This occured in Ft. Benning. And let me tell you, medical hold is a bitch. It's like prison, but with great food. The bastards kept me there for sixth months. I had to lie to a PA and convince him that he had written me an appointment to have some scans and x-rays done. Because all those stupid fucks do is perscribe you Ibprofun over and over and send you back and tell you "In two weeks, check in with me again." ..So six months down the line I decided screw it, I'll see if I can trick him into actually doing his fucking job. When I got my results back, they sent me packing. But I'm sure I would have been there longer had I not lied to that stupid bastard. They kept me for six months, Just so they could cut me loose -_- Because the on base medical system sucks. There was so much bullshit that went on, and so much strife. I'd have done anything to get back to training but the fact of the matter was that I was broken. And everyone assumes your a shitbag. Instead of doing something about it, they dicked me around. Sleep was unheard of, so we were always easily fucked with. I'm talking, 4-6 hours tops, sometimes less. Constantly being called shitbags and treated like shit, in pain, unable to do anything about it. Motherfuckers. In basic training you are expected to be treated like dirt it's part of the training. In medical hold, I longed to go back to training because it was -THAT- bad. Training seriously would have been cake. I had to bend and break my personal moral code just to sustain my existance there. My exerience with the military was not a good one. Not a place I like to take my mind back to either.

| I am back, lol. I started college monday and work sunday, but instead of being overwhelmed, I now seem to have more time on my hands than before. I was supposed to send you the descriptions you asked for last weekend, but i was called to work on short notice. This weekend, however, I'm 100% free to do with myself whatever I want. So, you'll have them | |

| Scarecrow, nice to hear from you again! Good to see you are back from the Shadowlands.
Rudest. What to say... I hope you get better over time. Human body has a lot of self healing abilities. I thought it's only us in Poland to have such sort of medical care. Well, seams not only. Keep your head up.

| It was bad, but just one of those things I guess. There were some positives I took from it. I did learn alot about human nature, and myself. Did some things that I regret, but I took alot of valueable experiences from it. And another silver lining is that the trade off for chronic pain is always getting to devote time to doing the things I want to do. To the best of my ability at least ;p | |
