Technical Problems

Hi,

I installed it again, from a different source and I still have no intro graphics/logos. Sound is back, but I fear that the missing intro stuff hints a possible problem. I had problems with TFN while frenzying (it crashed the game) and the bug wasn't replicable by others. So any ideas how to workaround this?

play in window mod.

Not really sure if I wan't to play it in window mode. Anyways, how do I run it in window mode?

It's in the options section in-game.
I don't know from the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere within either the tab graphics or gameplay.
I would believe it's the former over the latter.

I have no such option ingame.

In all seriousness it seems that my gold fish memory has failed me again regarding the windowed option, neither TFN, CE nor vanilla has what I described.



Been looking around for ways to do it and most of them makes little sense to me since I have the IQ of a dead beaver when it comes to these things.

create shortcut.
proprieties of shortcut. In the pathfile, where you can add -console, add in -window.
Then use RESPATCH to have it the biggest you can.

Then if you don't know, don't answer... It's nice to want to help, but I'm here to filter these problems. Have you tried turning it off and on again ? Have you read the manual ? That's my job
And in game options are notably useless in Bloodlines (apart for turning on subtitles) :p



I've had huge problems with that too, either I pressed space until I got to the menu, and it didn't bother my gameplay at all (even tho I was sad I didn't get to see the awesome Troika logo), or played in window mod, which, oddly, also got rid of my "recording my screen" problem.

Once, the stars where right, and I could play Bloodlines, seeing the intro stuff, and being full screen. I think I run it through some compatibility mod, on admin user, with or without some service pack, and somehow, it worked. I could never reproduce it so I "meh"'d it and got back to usual playing.

I'm not scolding you or anything, it's sweet you want to help and stuff, but while most games DO have the windowing option in the options of the game, Bloodlines is.. special.

Ok this works. Now, any way to remove the "windows frame" with Exit etc. It kinda stinks. Rest runs fine.

That's the main problem. Either play with RESPATCH until it fits your screen, or change your own resolution of screen to fit...

What did you do to that kitten? Plug it into an electric socket?
