Sorry, I have already drunk my supply... It was delicious. Sorry, Philo. I just couldn't stop myself. Maybe if you came over to Poland... We have long tradition breawing it. Mead was actually invented in Eastern Europe. Vikings were only a bunch of copycats

Well, seems nowedays it is China to have the oldest dated sample... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mead Poor us. Polish state was formed by people drinking it. Otherwise we would have chosen some other location than between Germany and Russia. Like the Croats did: they started as a tribe in Malopolska/Slask (south and south west of modern Poland) and now they live by f*cking Mediterranean Sea. Why haven't we followed!? Other than for almighty mass hangover, that is

Probably your ancestors hadn't stolen enough german cars then, to get everybody seated... - Claudia wrote:

They put anything that is dissolvable and gives a bit of foam in water. And then they call it beer. Oh, and Feral, fyi, germans are also capable of brewing some good dark beers. -

| Polish drinking = national sport ?
Really, I don't know, Childe. For Belgians, most German beer is "water".
(they drink beer like in France, my grandparents drink wine ; but I know shit, I don't drink)

Of course it is. What would you do, if you were stuck betwen the russians and the germans, along with one or another Napoleon intent to visit Moscow, coming through? -

| I'm not picky about my beer- it just needs to be regular (not light or flavored), relatively dark colored (no pisswater!), ice cold, full flavored, and either from the tap or a bottle (NO CANS!). Main brands I drink (on a regular basis) are Sam Adams (Boston Lager), Molson Canadian or XXX, or Labatt Blue. The better Euro stuff when I can find it/or afford it and it meets the above standards. Nothing from Anheuser-Busch, Coors Brewing or Miller unless I'm desperate and have no other options.
Not picky in the least. | |
