That's true, but because there is plenty of overlap you still get a significantly reduced return on the invested experience. When playing a Malkie (or a Ventrue who is investing in Dominate) it's simply more cost-effective to skip Persuasion and invest your exp elsewhere.

| You really don't get enough XP from the Giovanni family secrets quest to justify raising your Persuasion that high, because you don't use Persuasion for the rest of the game. (Okay, there's Johansen, but you don't get much XP there either.) But I usually do it anyway, because I like finishing as many quests as I can. In that one, I usually give my info. to Chris, because a) Adam the investment guy is an idiot, and there are plenty of idiot Kindred already; and b) Mira Giovanni has HIV, and knowingly allowing someone with HIV to be Embraced is not a good idea, even if they're not my clan. Chris' secret will never lose its blackmail value, because the moment he is 'outed' as a non-Giovanni he's dead.
I know these reasons have absolutely no meaning in the video game -- you get the same XP either way. But that's not how I think when I run the game. Old habits from my Pen and Paper days.

| Pretty sure it should be "rhetoric", not "rhetorics" I know, its a nitpick, but "rhetoric" is the art of discourse. I don't see a need to tack on the extra s Would be like "sciences" instead of "science". I guess that wouldn't be wrong, exactly, but it sounds .. off.. just my two cents Of course if you dont agree thats fine, I can always edit it on my own copy.. Right? | |

| I think I have to warm up this old topic now. So what about the npc teachers? I think I'll give it a shot with 2xp, 3 for Nines' melee because this is not capped at all in vanilla, and you have to ask your questions in a way that you get the teaching with the third one before time is up. - | |
