Thet's too subtle for me. I've leaned stratgy from the typical D&D wizard:
player: Orcs? I cast a fireball! GM: You set the forest on fire... player: Wtf, cast icestorm...

“I am not afraid of any army of lions led by a sheep,I am afraid of any army of sheep led by a lion”
Somehow I found the butchering of the phrase, by using such insipid words, to be disgusting.

Exactly! When one considers the number of people I don't kill every day, a few past indiscretions seem almost insignificant by comparison.

That is sociologically debatable, geographically debatable, culturally debatable, topographically debatable and maybe even philosophically debatable.

Was he born one year earlier he would have gotten the Italian nationality (as far as it existed back then, stupid papal states...)
I never liked Napoleon, but teh stupid french always like to have a man of power which takes responsibilities and runs the whole thing with an iron fist. Hence why poor Hollande lost popularity ; he's too much of a consensus ideal, diplomatic, team player guy for the average French.

It's kinda funny coming from the people who chopped the heads off of their entire aristocracy and even their king in the name of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
While we're somewhere after 1789:
"To punish the oppressors of humanity is clemency; to forgive them is cruelty." "By sealing our work with our blood, we may see at least the bright dawn of universal happiness." "Death is not "an eternal sleep!" Citizens! efface from the tomb that motto, graven by sacrilegious hands, which spreads over all nature a funereal crape, takes from oppressed innocence its support, and affronts the beneficent dispensation of death! Inscribe rather thereon these words: "Death is the commencement of immortality!"" -Robespierre

We also like to kill our men in power
(Robespierre was killed too :p)
But after chopping the monarques, we got this one big general to get himself be an emperor, then we got a republic, and the first universal voting elected... a king. SO YEAH XD
