I never liked Napoleon, but teh stupid french always like to have a man of power which takes responsibilities and runs the whole thing with an iron fist. Hence why poor Hollande lost popularity ; he's too much of a consensus ideal, diplomatic, team player guy for the average French.

 It's kinda funny coming from the people who chopped the heads off of their entire aristocracy and even their king in the name of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
