| Don't read - Miri's haven:
https://maps.google.fr/maps?q=1+rue+andr%C3%A9+dumercq+bordeaux&hl=fr&ie=UTF8&ll=44.83317,-0.573092&spn=0.010271,0.026157&sll=44.833185,-0.574079&sspn=0.010271,0.026157&hnear=1+Rue+Andr%C3%A9+Dumercq,+33000+Bordeaux,+Gironde,+Aquitaine&t=m&z=16 View from Saint Catherine street (watching west)
Miri's lent haven from Gregory is an apartment on ground floor, facing north. It has only two windows, to illuminate (from the north) the kitchen and the living room, but the blinds are closed due to the fact that it is ground level and people passing by may see inside (this is normal). The fences protect the glass from people outside, like all windows at this height in town.
Lyle's email was sent on Friday evening, but only an hour after sunset or so. It comes from "contactdirector at theregent dot com" It goes roughly as this :
"Here's a link to the files. I almost forgot about those... The password is Theo's last name. I'll be in the Regent most of the time if anything. I'm sure He would love to hear all about what happened, from your own perspective. Accept my apologies for hurting you last night. However, I will take that hug. Regards, LK"
The files are indeed in a few links to follow, and with indeed, the password of Jacob works (although it may have taken a couple of tries, with or without the capital letter). The first thing to notice is that indeed the files are different, but only with minor changes. As Lyle said, he noted out the differences for them to be easy to notice.
Both files tell the same story. It's a journal of a man, but his name is only stated as "Fernand". It's been kept for about one year or so. It's written in French. It doesn't give openly where he is, but all the names appearing in the files are in Spanish. There isn't much time to read the two long files, which are a good hundred pages long each, but the first glance and read through shows that this Fernand is extremely well organized, maybe a little maniac about it. It'll be easy to gather all information from both files, and study the differences in about four hours. The quick read also shows that the differences are mostly about approximations, but also about doubts Fernand had about Lambert (which he calls "the Sheriff", but as he described his OCD, it's clear he is talking about Lambert). Despite his odd writings, Fernand seems like a very bright person, yet a little outcast somehow, a little paranoid (or maybe a lot), and always planning all kinds of possible outcomes for every little detail he could find or think of that made some vague sense. It was a few of the possible outcomes he declared on Lambert that he erased (the original file, at least the one Lyle marked as such, states that the sheriff has trouble with women and despite working for him, he'd rather not, he'd rather continue take a global view of news papers and continue on writing articles on his blog...). His heavy meticulousness to write is in total opposition to a messy life he seemed to had. The last few entrance talk about strange movements in the local Sabbat. It's like they've been beheaded, and that the tensions are growing and growing, that nobody controls those beasts anymore. The date confirms that such "beheading" happened sometime after the Sabbat attack that stroke Bordeaux a few months ago. Facets of this have shown into politics (riots, rants, open dossiers...). This detail can be linked up with recent news and the Spanish names to guess that indeed, this Fernand was settled in Spain. His plannings and his warnings on the journal state that the outburst may be for soon. He started planning out about two months ago a way out for the worst scenarii. He found a nice promising girl, a girl (he refers to her as "my star") which would had been a perfect girlfriend for him if the situation would have been different. He seemed to like her a lot, despite how little they could rest and just chill, and he was sad for what he had done to her. He entrusted her with the mission if something had to turn wrong. It obviously happened. There are a few names, including Frederic Vonzel's, as some kind of other outcast, maybe a potential target to switch sides, but also the one of Miri's Sire. But it dates back from other entries, and studying those will take much longer than available at the moment.

| - Haven:
From her resting spot on the living room sofa, Miriel's eyes flit open and survey the soft darkness. A single dimmed lamp at another end of the apartment has stayed on since the other night, its electric bulb buzzes annoyingly through the halls. Haltingly, she raises up and moves to find it.
She seems to stagger, resting a palm on one wall and the next as she navigates- Her movement slow and devoid of vitality. Still, she trudges around the apartment, diverting her path from the lamp to the bedroom, where she disrobes, examines the arm where she had bruises before, and dresses. Same jeans. Same belt. Olive v-neck shirt. Fitted dark brown leather women's jacket. She scans Gregory's closet and is surprised to find a handsome pair of women's ankle boots. The heel is just the right height to be stylish without compromising mobility, should the need to move and move fast arise. Ideal. She must really talk with him some time about his collection of women's garments, but for now...
In front of the bathroom mirror, she glances over her appearance and begins fixing her hair. "Up?" She pulls her hair back in a mass in her hand, "No," and drops it. She lets it fall around her shoulders, her bangs obscure her eyes for a moment before she pushes them aside and begins to comb through. Brushing hair behind her ear, she pauses to notice dull red buried underneath her fingernail. Frederic's blood.
Motionless, she ponders in front of the mirror, trying to look her reflection in the eye directly. She stares as if she'll find something besides the blood on her hand that speaks at all about what happened the other night. Her eyes find nothing on her body or her face. No scratches, no stains, no watery eyes, no involuntary frown, no troubled brow. Nothing to betray her but that red under her nail. As she gazes, some vague disappointment in herself wells up over failing to seem scarred or marked for what she started and almost finished last night.
She can look herself in the eye no more, she turns the tap on and scrubs her hands clean without a second thought. Best not to dwell. Not now.
Satisfied with her cleanliness, her appearance, Miriel checks her email. One new, from the Regent. She smiles as she reads, his message short, but cordial. She has no choice but to accept his apology- Shit happens. "He"? A small sound escapes her, Hm.
Password accepted, she glances over pages of both files, and the notes Lyle had made. She nods her head aside to Fernand's expressed preference to stay globally installed as a writer. Her eyes narrow with interest as she reads on about the political climate in Spain. Frederic's name appears and Miriel blinks softly in thought. She's almost ready to begin to really pore over the files when she scans over Ian's name, and reflexively, she shuts the netbook.
She takes a deep breath, and before her thoughts begin to knit themselves into new worries and deeper dreads, she pretends to herself that she only stopped to note the time. And time it is to make her appointment with Duncan.
Happily, it seems, she turns off the overheated lamp. Happily, she gathers her wallet, smokes and keys. Happily, it seems, to leave and forget the netbook.
She locks up and leaves.

| - haven:
Miriel has a quiet, uneventful walk back to her haven. She checks the door to be sure it's locked as she left it, opens up and surveys the interior briefly. If nothing seems amiss, she simply changes clothes, dark blue jeans, same boots and a comfortable looking white t-shirt. She trades her brown leather jacket for a black one with zipper pockets and adds a few rings to her fingers. She changes her necklace to a small iridescent stone necklace with black thread. She wears her hair down again.
She glances around once mmore before returning to Duncan's, locking up behind her.
